Publication number: 20230225986Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of cannabidiol (CBD) in the treatment of patients with childhood-onset epilepsy who are concurrently taking caffeine. Where the CBD is used in combination with caffeine, caution should be taken. For example, the dose of either the CBD and/or caffeine may be required to be reduced. Moreover, the patient may need to be monitored for side effects of said drug-drug interaction. Preferably the CBD used is in the form of a highly purified extract of cannabis such that the CBD is present at greater than 95% of the total extract (w/w) and the other components of the extract are characterised. In particular the cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been substantially removed, to a level of not more than 0.15% (w/w) and the propyl analogue of CBD, cannabidivarin, (CBDV) is present in amounts of up to 1%. Alternatively, the CBD may be a synthetically produced CBD.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2021Publication date: July 20, 2023Inventors: Jie LI, Kevin CRAIG, Daniel CHECKETTS, David CRITCHLEY

Patent number: 11699225Abstract: The tire sensing and analysis system may comprise a measurement device and local application software. The measurement device may make contact with a tire of a vehicle such that the measurement device is positioned at a specific distance and orientation relative to the tire. The measurement device may capture multiple images of the tire using an RGB camera and a pair of infrared cameras. The local application software may analyze the images and may construct a 3D mesh describing the 3-dimensional contours of the tread. The local application software may determine a tread depth and may display status and warning messages on a display unit that is coupled to the measurement device. The measurements may be communicated to remote application software for additional analysis. As non-limiting examples, the remote application software may detect specific tire wear patterns and may transmit a report to share results of the analysis.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2021Date of Patent: July 11, 2023Inventors: Ryan Eade, M. Publication number: 20220230424Abstract: An online system receives contextual information for a goal-oriented environment at a current time and generates Q-value predictions that indicate likelihoods that one or more participants will reach the desired goal. The Q-value for a current time may also be interpreted as the value of the actions taken at the current time with respect to the desired goal. The online system generates Q-value predictions for a current time by applying an approximator network to the contextual information for the current time. In one instance, the approximator network is a machine learning model neural network model trained by a reinforcement learning process. The reinforcement process allows the approximator network to incrementally update the Q-value predictions given new information throughout time, and results in a more computationally efficient training process compared to other types of supervised or unsupervised machine learning model processes.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 13, 2022Publication date: July 21, 2022Inventors: Kevin Craig Woolery, Cauri Jaye, David Dorfman

Publication number: 20210229337Abstract: Rheological measurement systems for use with systems including pressurized polymer melts and/or other viscous materials are described. In one embodiment, a rheometer is connected to an associated system with a bent, curved, or bendable tube to permit the rheometer to measure rheological properties in locations where the rheometer could not otherwise be located due to the presence of obstructions. Embodiments including rigid straight tubes for connecting a rheometer to an associated system are also described. In another embodiment, a flow-through rheometer is connected to an industry standard ½-20 thermowell aperture that is typically used for attaching temperature and pressure probes to a vessel containing a viscous material such as an extruder or injection molding system.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 15, 2021Publication date: July 29, 2021Inventors: John A. Czazasty, John R. Biagioni, Kevin Craig, Matthew Lockwood, Michael P. Leonardi

Patent number: 10506136Abstract: A method of calibrating a printer using a reflective scanner is disclosed. Because the reflective scanner used for calibration may only be able to accurately measure a limited density range that is less than the full density range of the printer, some information from the reflective scanner is disregarded or deemphasized during the calibration process. A calibration page is printed and scanned. Lookup tables (LUTs) that comprise the printer calibration values are updated based on adjustments calculated from the scanner for density regions where the scanner produces relatively accurate measurements, but updated based on the preexisting settings for density regions where the scanner produces relatively inaccurate measurements. In transitions regions between accurate and inaccurate regions, the LUTs are adjusted based on a combination of measurements from the scanner and the preexisting settings.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2015Date of Patent: December 10, 2019Assignee: KODAK ALARIS INC.Inventors: Kevin Craig Scott, Stuart Gerard Evans, Steven R. Patent number: 10327081Abstract: A mobile entertainment and announcement system has a trailer base and a trailer body mounted on the trailer base. A trailer hitch projecting from a forward end of the trailer base allows the mobile entertainment and announcement system to be transported to a desired venue by connecting the trailer hitch to a vehicle. A telescoping boom is supported by at least one of the trailer base and the trailer body, and is adapted to move from a transport position to a set-up position and to a broadcast position. At least one broadcast speaker is mounted on the telescoping boom when the telescoping boom is in a set-up position, so that when the telescoping boom is moved from the transport position to the broadcast position, the broadcast speaker is moved to a higher elevation above the trailer base.
