  • Patent number: 11175352
Abstract: The present disclosure describes various alternative embodiments of plug force testers, in particular devices well-suited for testing aircraft ground power connection plugs. The disclosed plug force testers provide a fixed, well-supported position for test pins on which a plug is inserted, which can be positioned to correspond to a height or orientation of the pins in an actual aircraft. Embodiments described also may include means for preventing excessive force application during testing.

  • Patent number: 10938171
Abstract: A portable power distribution unit for safely distributing high wattage power supplied from mobile generators to lower power test adapter units and systems. Embodiments disclosed include a structurally rigid housing shaped to facilitate secure holding by an operator's foot, a 400 Hz power connector adapted for connection to a mobile power generator, a circuit breaker matched to the rating of the system to be powered and connections for conversion of the six-pin output from the mobile generator to a three or four-pin input for the system to be powered.

  • Patent number: 10044128
Abstract: A modular, repairable aircraft ground power receptacle includes a base containing pin bases with outwardly opening sockets. Removable pins are secured in the sockets and a pin cover plate is placed there over with prong ends of pins extending through the pin cover plate for connection with a ground power plug. Damage pins may be removed and replaced without disconnecting aircraft power cables from the receptacle. Repair kits may include replacement pins and, optionally, replacement cover plates and related fasteners and tooling.

  • Publication number: 20130095700
Abstract: An electrical plug is provided for supplying electricity comprising a plug with two sections, a body section and a detachable faceplate section. The faceplate is compact and is fabricated using a hard flexible plastic which enables the faceplate to act as a cover to the plug and enhances the resistance of the plug to the wear and tear of its field uses. The faceplate can be secured onto the body of the plug without any stress cracking using screws despite the compact thickness of the faceplate.

  • Patent number: 7955128
Abstract: A method, system and assembly for transferring electrical power adapted to provide power to a grounded aircraft is provided. The assembly comprises a first and second insulated electrical conductor and a plug body, attached to ends of these conductors. A first contact and a second contact is provided within the plug body, having electrically conductive connections with the first and second conductors. A non conductive support bar disposed at least partially within the plug body separating at least portions of the first contact and the first conductor from the second contact and the second conductor.
