  • Patent number: 11176847
Abstract: A training device for training a user on the operation of an auto-injector that dispenses a medicament. A needle guard is slidable from a first extended position relative to a housing prior to operation of the training device, to a retracted position during operation of the training device, and to a second extended position after operation of the training device. An actuation assembly controls the movement of the needle guard from the retracted position to the second extended position. A lock locks the needle guard in the second extended position. A safety is proximate a proximal end of the housing and prevents movement of the needle guard from the first extended position to the retracted position in a storage position. The needle guard is moveable into the retracted position with the safety in an armed position. The safety resets the lock upon returning the safety to the storage position.

  • Patent number: 10799423
Abstract: A liquid-transfer adapter operatively interposable between an injector and a vial is provided. The liquid-transfer has an injector engaging portion configured for fluidly coupling to an injector and a vial coupling. The vial coupling includes a spike that has a spike axis and a tip portion configured for piercing a septum of a vial. The tip portion includes a plurality of facets that meet each other at one or more edges and at least one of the one or more edges is sloped with respect to the spike axis. The spike defines a channel extending therethrough in fluid communication with the injector engaging portion. A channel opening is defined in at least one of the facets and disposed without interrupting the edges.

  • Patent number: 8425516
Abstract: Methods and devices for sculpting bones, particularly in preparation for implanting prosthetic devices to replace articulating bone joint surfaces. Improved bone removal devices including burr mills driven by gears and loop drives are provided. Reciprocating cutters and belt cutters are also provided. Some devices have either integral or removable expandable portions to vary the force and bone resection depth. Devices can have irrigation ports and plenums to remove bone fragments. Some cutters are dual cutters, adapted to remove bone in two or more regions, such as the knee joint, simultaneously.
