  • Patent number: 11896385
Abstract: Digital imaging systems and methods are described for analyzing pixel data of an image of a shaving stroke for determining pressure being applied to a user's skin. A plurality of training images of a plurality of individuals are aggregated, each of the training images comprising pixel data of a respective individual when shaving with a shaving razor. A pressure model, trained with the pixel data, is operable to determine pressure being applied to the respective individual's skin. An image of a user when shaving with the shaving razor is received and analyzed, by the pressure model, to determine a user-specific pressure being applied to the user's skin by the shaving razor when a user shaving stroke is taken. A user-specific electronic recommendation to address at least one feature identifiable within the pixel data is generated and rendered, on a display screen of a user computing device.

  • Patent number: 8306753
Abstract: A system and method for generating a numerical skin model. The skin model may be used to predict the interaction of the skin to various devices, such as shaving devices and absorbent articles, for example. The computer-based numerical skin material model of the simulated skin may comprise a mechanical behavior model of a surface epidermis, a mechanical behavior model of a dermis, a mechanical behavior model of a hypodermis, and a van der Waals hyperelastic formulation to represent the behavior of the simulated skin. A strain stiffening viscoelasticty of the simulated human skin may be determined by a Prony time series expansion.

  • Patent number: 8225510
Abstract: A wet shaving razor cartridge that comprises a plurality of at least five elongate blade assemblies disposed in parallel between a guard and a cap of a housing, each blade assembly having a sharp cutting edge; wherein said blade assemblies exhibit a cumulative interblade span of no greater than about 3 mm. Also, a wet shaving razor cartridge that comprise a plurality of at least four elongate blade assemblies disposed in parallel between a guard and a cap of a housing, each blade assembly having a sharp cutting edge; wherein said blade assemblies exhibit a cumulative interblade span of no greater than about 2.5 mm.

  • Publication number: 20100269843
Abstract: A method for shaving an area of skin to remove hair therefrom is provided, the method comprising the step of applying a non-foaming, hydrating composition to the area of skin to be shaved, the non-foaming, hydrating composition comprising: a non-foaming, hydrating composition; thickener hydrophobic components and hydrating composition; then shaving the area of skin to be shaved using a razor.
