  • Patent number: 11257001
Abstract: An enhanced prediction model utilizing product life cycle segmentation and historic prediction data for generating more accurate future failure rates. Input data is segmented into groups based on failure modes of a corresponding life cycle. A prediction model such as Weibull analysis is implemented for each segmented group. Historical prediction data is also segmented into groups. Prediction parameters for each group of segmented historical prediction data are compared with one another and the comparisons are then used to adjust the prediction parameters generated from the segmented groups of input data. Updated parameters for the input data are then output thereby generating a new future failure rate.

  • Patent number: 8189466
Abstract: Machine-readable codes are read, decoded and resolved by a messaging system in order to perform a desired function. If the code is not native to that (home) messaging system, then a resolution request is made to a central messaging interchange system to determine which other (destination) messaging system is native to and can resolve that code. The messaging interchange system then either returns the appropriate routing information back to the home messaging system (in which case the home messaging system sends the resolution request directly to the destination messaging system) or forwards the resolution request to the destination messaging system itself. The destination messaging system transmits a resolution response message to the home messaging system, either directly or via the messaging interchange system.

  • Patent number: 6291267
Abstract: A process for underfilling a chip-under-chip module. The module comprises a first larger chip, a second smaller chip attached to the underside of the first chip, a substrate having a top surface to which the first chip is mounted, a cavity into which the second chip fits when the first chip is mounted on the top surface, and an access channel connecting the cavity to the top surface. Underfill is disposed under the first chip between the first chip and the substrate, between the first and second chips, within the cavity, and within the access channel. The process for underfilling such a module comprises the steps of forming the substrate having the cavity and access channel in the substrate, connecting the first chip to the substrate, and dispensing underfill through the access channel.
