  • Patent number: 10620643
Abstract: A fuel metering valve includes a valve body housing a valve element in an interior chamber between an inlet port and an outlet port, an actuator coupled to move the valve element relative to the valve body, and a controller configured to regulate the position of the valve body. The valve element regulates a flow of fuel through the valve body. The controller regulates the position of the valve body via an actuator based on measurements by differential and absolute pressure sensors to achieve a target mass flow rate of the fuel through the valve body. The differential pressure sensor is calibrated for accuracy only across a limited scale range based on a predetermined maximum subsonic pressure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 20, 2016
Date of Patent: April 14, 2020
    Assignee: Woodward, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20140231151
Abstract: A precise and reproducible method of making a cutter element for a cutting tool includes positioning at least a first material layer of powder; a substrate and sintering. Whereby the positioning is performed by a fill to weight system, and comprises depositing the first material at a rate of about 1 mg per second to about 300 mg per second by the automated system.

  • Patent number: 7398138
Abstract: Systems for controlling aspects of recreational or other environments are described. Such systems are especially, but not exclusively, useful for controlling either or both of pool or spa settings and operations and include equipment that may be connected, in any appropriate way, to personal or other computers or other components capable of accepting and processing input. Operations of the systems additionally are capable of being simulated through software.
