  • Patent number: 11900464
Abstract: An automated method for resolving a debtor's debt obligation to a creditor uses a rating algorithm that implements predictive analytics to determine an anticipated amount for which the creditor will settle the debt. A debt purchase amount to be offered to the Debtor to have a third-party entity fully assume the Debtor's debt obligation is calculated based on the anticipated amount for which the creditor will settle the debt and operating costs and profit margin of the third-party entity. An offer to the Debtor to have the third-party entity fully assume the Debtor's debt obligation for the debt purchase amount is generated and sent with a document indicating that the Debtor has agreed to transfer the Debtor's debt obligation to the third-party entity pursuant to the offer. The creditor is notified that the third-party entity has assumed responsibility for the Debtor's debt obligation and resolved the Debtor's debt obligation.

  • Patent number: 8706616
Abstract: A purchase of debt system (“PODS”) and process that allows a debtor and entity using the system to financially benefit by exploiting the errors, fraud and inefficiencies contained in debts, such as medical bills. Specifically, the type of debt associated with, for example, medical bills is debt liability that has no asset(s) associated with it. The debtor is benefited by assigning the debt and associated liability, at a reduced price, to a third party (the entity using the system). The entity using the system then obtains a financial benefit by settling the debt, with the creditor, for an amount less than that paid to it by the debtor.

  • Publication number: 20070061452
Abstract: A system for providing notification of market information which includes a user computer for specifying a market condition to be monitored, and an electronic source of updated market data is provided. The system also includes a host computer system for receiving and storing the specified market condition to be monitored. Upon receipt of the specified market condition to be monitored, the host computer system generates and transmits confirmation data to the user computer. A monitoring program executable on the host computer system compares the specified market condition and the source of updated market data to determine if the specified market condition is found to exist. If found to exist, the monitoring program generates a signal. A transmitter responsive to the signal generated by the monitoring program transmits notification of the specified market condition.
