  • Publication number: 20250090797
Abstract: Devices and methods for selectively directing fluid flow through lumens of a catheter in order to effectively flush and/or de-air specified lumens of the catheter are disclosed. As one example, an assembly comprises a catheter including a first shaft and a second shaft extending through the first shaft. The assembly further comprises a sealing mechanism including a first seal disposed around a distal end portion of the first shaft, a second seal disposed around a portion of the second shaft that extends distal to the first shaft, and a cavity disposed within a housing of the sealing mechanism between the first seal and the second seal. A distal end of the first shaft is disposed within the cavity and the cavity is fluidly sealed by the first seal and the second seal such that fluid from a first lumen of the first shaft cannot exit the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20250052413
Abstract: A wearable law enforcement patrol light and signal device including a housing to be worn by a law enforcement patrol officer on a bulletproof vest or on an arm. A high intensity light source is mounted in a front plate of the housing, the high intensity light source electrically connected to a source of electric power in the housing. A switch activates and deactivates the high intensity light source, or the high intensity light source may automatically deactivate. The high intensity light source emits an alternating burst of light of at least five thousand lumens outward when the high intensity light source is activated. The housing of the device also supports a plurality of warning lights, identification badging, a communication system, and other features in a single housing that a patrol officer would normally wear as independent elements.

  • Publication number: 20240415655
Abstract: A handle assembly for controlling the implantable device includes an actuation element extending through a sheath, a paddle actuation control coupled to the actuation element, and a visual indicator. In some implementations, the handle further includes a paddle width adjustment element and a paddle width control that is actuatable to cause axial movement of the paddle width adjustment element, thereby causing a width of the at least one of the pair of paddles of the implantable device to be moved from a first width to a second width. In some implementations, the visual indicator is coupled to the actuation element or the paddle width adjustment element through the handle housing and is configured to provide an indication regarding a configuration of the implantable device.

  • Publication number: 20240374386
Abstract: Delivery systems and methods of delivering devices or implants are disclosed. The devices or implants can be configured as valve repair devices or treatment devices have gripping members that are openable and closable to attach the device to leaflets of a native heart valve. The delivery systems are configured to position the device or implant and open and close the gripping members of the device or implant.

  • Publication number: 20240156446
Abstract: A system, for use with a leaflet of a valve of a subject's heart, comprises a catheter, a cutting device, a helical needle, and a suture. The catheter is transluminally advanceable toward the heart. The cutting device is advanceable distally out of the catheter, and is adapted to cut through tissue of the leaflet to form cut tissue and cut edges at the cardiac valve. The helical needle defines a helical lumen, the helical needle configured to be advanced distally out of the catheter and to rotationally extend through, and secure together, two tissue segments of the leaflet. The suture extends through the helical lumen of the helical needle. The helical needle and the suture are configured to extend along the two tissue segments of the leaflet to suture the two tissue segments to each other. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Publication number: 20240065836
Abstract: Components for valve treatment systems are disclosed. Valve treatment systems can include a delivery system for an implantable device. The delivery system can include one or more of clasp control components slidably disposed on a catheter handle, a control element for opening and closing the implantable device, a catheter assembly with features to reduce friction with another catheter assembly, grips for attaching catheter assemblies to clamps, catheter assemblies with features that stiffen or provide variable stiffness, and catheter assemblies with one or more steering control lumens incorporated into a reinforcement layer.

  • Patent number: 11530551
Abstract: An expandable tent structure with a side wall of mesh or fabric enclosing an internal volume of the tent. The tent has one or more openings in the roof and/or side walls of the tent, and a hatch pivotally attached to the tent. The hatch in one position covers an opening in the roof and/or side wall, and a mesh or fabric structure extends in an accordion-like manner between the hatch and edges of the opening. A plurality of ribs support the mesh or fabric, the ribs being pivotally attached to the tent supporting structure. When the hatch is in its open position, the internal volume of the tent is increased, with the mesh or fabric attached to the hatch and the edges of the opening providing a barrier over the opening against the environment.

  • Patent number: 11320137
Abstract: A wearable, torso-worn, hands free multi-illumination system having a fabric harness worn over the shoulders and adjacent the chest and back of a user. The fabric harness has an adjustable aperture to receive the head of the user, and a fastener along the rim of the aperture, where the fastener adjusts the size of the aperture. The fabric harness includes a front panel and a rear panel, with an ambient light and a light sensor mounted on the front panel. An electronic control system is mounted on the fabric harness, including a control board, LEDs, and light sensor. The ambient light and the light sensor are electrically connected to the control board. Switches are mounted to the front panel, and are electrically connected to the control board. An electric power source is removably mounted on the rear panel, and the power source is electrically connected to the control board.

The hatch in one position covers an opening in the roof and/or side wall of the tent, and a mesh or fabric structure extends in an accordion-like manner between the hatch and three edges of the opening. A plurality of ribs support the mesh or fabric structure, the ribs being pivotally attached to the supporting structure of the tent. When the hatch is in its open position, the internal volume of the tent is substantially increased, with the mesh or fabric material attached to the hatch and the edges of the opening providing a barrier over the opening against weather, debris, and the like.
