Publication number: 20250131607Abstract: Methods, computing systems, and technology for authorizing vehicle actions. For example, a computing system may be configured to receive sensor data indicative of a first user within a threshold distance of a vehicle. The computing system may be configured to determine, based on the sensor data, an intent of the first user to access the vehicle. The computing system may be configured to, based on the intent, output one or more signals to initiate a display of content for a second user via a user interface of a wearable display device, the content comprising the sensor data and an access request. The computing system may be configured to receive a response to the access request, wherein the response is indicative of an authorization decision for a vehicle action. The computing system may be configured to control, based on the authorization decision, a component of the vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2023Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: Kavita Saney, Kevin Gee, Conner Ward, Per-Anders Edwards

Publication number: 20250037382Abstract: Methods, computing systems, and technology for locating and navigating to a parked vehicle is presented. For example, a computing system may be configured to access data indicative of a location of a vehicle associated with a user. The computing system may be configured to determine a user interface element for display associated with the vehicle within an augmented reality environment. The computing system may be configured to output one or more signals to present, via a display device associated with a user device, content that presents the user interface element associated with the vehicle within the augmented reality environment. The user interface element may be visible within the augmented reality environment at the location of the vehicle when at least a portion of the vehicle is within a field of view of the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2023Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Kavita Saney, Kevin Gee

Patent number: 11780331Abstract: A method for displaying visual contents on a motor vehicle involves a computing system receiving user request data from a mobile electronic device. Visual content data representing the visual content is determined by the computing system depending on the user request. A window is selected by the computing system from at least two windows of the motor vehicle and control data is generated by the computing system depending on the visual content data and on the selected window. A projection arrangement of the motor vehicle is controlled depending on the control data to project the visual content on the selected window.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2021Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: MERCEDES-BENZ GROUP AGInventors: Kavita Saney, Kevin Gee, Sarah Plewe

Patent number: 11633843Abstract: A percussion tool is used for performing a chiseling operation on a workpiece with a chisel. The percussion tool comprises a housing including a cylinder portion, a tool holder coupled to the cylinder portion for holding the chisel, and a percussion mechanism including a striker supported for reciprocation in the cylinder portion. The percussion mechanism is configured to impart repeated axial impacts to the chisel with the striker. The percussion tool further comprises a flange between the cylinder portion and the tool holder. Movement of the chisel within the tool holder toward the percussion mechanism is stopped by the flange.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2020Date of Patent: April 25, 2023Assignee: MILWAUKEE ELECTRIC TOOL CORPORATIONInventors: Alexander Krug, Zbyn{hacek over (e)}k Kadlec, Günter Karg, Andrew Delmar Van Hoorn, Kevin Gee

Method for the rapid estimation of figures of merit for multiple devices based on nonlinear modeling
Patent number: 6892155Abstract: A system and a general method estimate figures of merit based on nonlinear modeling and nonlinear time series analysis. Terms in a nonlinear behavioral model that depend on nonlinear combinations of a fixed input signal value are precomputed, optimizing the behavioral model such that figures of merit are evaluated from a single short stimulus vector. The optimized nonlinear behavioral model can then be applied to evaluate figures of merit for multiple devices under test (DUTs) in a manufacturing line. A process continually verifies and adjusts the nonlinear behavioral model based on sub-sampling multiple DUTs in a manufacturing line and comparing their figures of merit based on nonlinear modeling with those based on conventional measurement procedures.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2002Date of Patent: May 10, 2005Assignee: Agilent Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Kevin Gee, Nicholas B. Tufillaro -
Patent number: 6772911Abstract: A flow controller for a container including a slide member guide, having a first peripheral flange on an outer surface, and configured to be either integral with the container or to be attached separately to a neck of the container. The neck includes a seal. A slide member is slideably and rotatably carried within the slide member guide. The slide member includes a second peripheral flange attached to an outer surface of the slide member to provide a space for insertion of a shipping pin between the first and second peripheral flanges. The shipping pin prevents an inner edge of the slide member from contacting and puncturing the seal. The container can include a lancing pin disposed on the inside of the container and is configured to contact the slide member at a top end and actuate an air vent at the opposite end.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2002Date of Patent: August 10, 2004Inventors: Kevin Gee, John M. Naber
