  • Publication number: 20240067983
Abstract: A novel gRNA-ligand binding complex is provided. This complex may be used to bring Type V Cas proteins and additional effectors to DNA for base editing. The design of the systems allows for the production of efficient modular components that provide flexibility when editing DNA.

  • Publication number: 20230192535
Abstract: A method for introducing a recess into a substrate, and/or for reducing a material, includes spatially beam shaping a focus of a laser beam along a beam axis, whereby defects are produced in the substrate along the beam axis without there being any material removal. One or more of the defects forms a modification in the substrate, so that subsequently the recess and/or the material thickness reduction is produced by action of an etching medium by an anisotropic material removal. An additional modification is introduced into the substrate along an additional beam axis that is parallel to and spaced from the beam axis, the additional modification having an extent between a first outer surface of the substrate and a position within the substrate that is at a distance from a second, opposite outer surface of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20220064999
Abstract: An intelligent lock and latch system which may include a housing that can be coupled to a post. The system employs a latch pin that can coupled to a gate and used in connection with the housing to secure the gate. The housing can further comprise a front cavity, a back cavity, one or more mounting holes, a slot, and a recess. The housing can be coupled to the post by one or more fasteners through the housing's mounting holes or using a mounting adapter. The intelligent lock and latch system can further comprise a back cover supporting gears, an electrical system and motor to power the gears, and a keypad to operate the system that be a standalone system or can communicate through wireless communication to a hub or mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11072041
Abstract: A method for producing a technical mask includes: providing a technical mask including at least one plate-shaped substrate, the plate-shaped substrate being transparent to at least one laser wavelength; and producing at least one opening in the mask by laser-induced deep etching. In an embodiment, an etching attack takes place at least temporarily on one side during laser-induced deep etching.

  • Publication number: 20210097605
Abstract: Systems and methods that facilitate determining and predicting fraudulent or non-compliant behavior using poly-structured data analytics are discussed. An unstructured data steam comprising a set of emails can be received, and processed to reduce the noise, or non-relevant portions of the dataset. Structured data that includes contextual relevant information about the users can also be received, and the poly-structured data modeling system can identify unstructured variable and structured variables that are relevant for identifying and predicting non-compliant behavior. These unstructured and structured variables can then be modeled in order to identify communications that may contain non-compliant and/or fraudulent behavior.

  • Publication number: 20070158039
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for deinking printed waste paper—particularly methods that use a deinking composition that includes a hydrophobically-modified inorganic particle (“MIP”) to improve ink collection efficiency under traditional alkaline, reduced alkali, and true neutral deinking conditions. Deinking compositions are provided that include a hydrophobically-MIP substrate, a nonionic surfactant, and a fatty acid, or mixtures thereof. The improved ink collection of the present invention can result in deinked pulp of high quality and/or yields that has excellent brightness and effective residual ink concentrations (“ERIC”) values.

  • Publication number: 20060241987
Abstract: A system, a method and computer-readable media for presenting project information to a user. A project is represented by multiple objects. Items of information are received, and each of these items is associated with one of the objects. A user input selecting an object is received. In response to this input, the items of information associated with the selected object are presented to a user.
