  • Patent number: 12256962
Abstract: Bone anchor assemblies are disclosed herein that can provide for improved fixation as compared with traditional bone anchor assemblies. An exemplary assembly can include a bracket or wing that extends down from the receiver member. The distal portion of the wing can define a bone anchor opening through which one or more auxiliary bone anchors can be disposed to augment the fixation of the assembly's primary bone anchor. A distal surface of the distal portion of the wing can be obliquely angled relative to a proximal-distal axis of the spanning portion to face one of a caudal direction or a cephalad direction. A distal surface of the distal portion of the wing can be obliquely angled relative to the proximal-distal axis of the spanning portion to face one of a medial direction or a lateral direction. Surgical methods using the bone anchor assemblies described herein are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250052337
Abstract: An actuator for a flow control valve comprises an electric motor (112) for driving an output shaft connected to the valve; an electric power supply (128) having a characteristic feature for defining an intended direction of drive of the electric motor; a sensor (132) for detecting the characteristic feature; a connector (134) for connecting the electric current supply to the electric motor; and a control system (130) arranged to connect the electric power supply to the electric motor. Operation of the actuator comprises providing electric current; detecting the characteristic feature; determining the intended direction of drive of the electric motor from an output of the sensor indicative of the characteristic feature of the electric current; determining that there are no predetermined conditions inhibiting operation of the electric motor in the intended direction of drive of the electric motor; and operating the connector to connect the electric power supply to the electric motor.

  • Publication number: 20250047711
Abstract: This disclosure describes a security elevation system that, as part of an inter-network facilitation system, can generate elevated security challenges adapted to requested network events using a security challenge platform that is agnostic to challenge type, vendor network, and network event. For example, the disclosed systems can utilize the security challenge platform to generate and distribute elevated security challenges for network events that warrant elevated client device interaction (e.g., beyond initial login interactions or other interactions). In some cases, the disclosed systems can utilize a logic platform to determine whether a network event warrants or necessitates elevated security considerations (e.g., for network events that transmit sensitive data) and can further utilize a security challenge platform to generate and provide a corresponding elevated security challenge specific to the network event.

  • Patent number: 11489685
Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for generating a meeting efficiency index are disclosed. A receiver receives a request from an organizer to organize a meeting. A processor, operatively connected to the receiver via a communication network, accesses a database to obtain management data, organizational behavior data, and psychological data corresponding to the requested meeting in response to the received request. The processor applies an algorithm to combine the obtained management data, organizational behavior data, and the psychological data to determine a meeting efficiency index (MEI) for the requested meeting. The MEI is a normalized measure to determine how effective the meeting will be in achieving its purpose. The processor causes a graphical user interface (GUI) to display the MEI in conjunction with calendar item and receive input data whether to accept or reject the meeting based on the MEI.
