  • Patent number: 11902314
Abstract: A device may receive security data identifying assets of an entity, security issues associated with the assets, and objectives associated with the assets and may utilize a data model to generate, based on the security data, asset related data identifying mapped sets of security data. The device may process a first portion of the asset related data, with a first model, to calculate an asset risk likelihood score for an asset of the assets and may process a second portion of the asset related data, with a second model, to calculate an asset criticality score for the asset. The device may process a third portion of the asset related data, with a third model, to calculate an asset control effectiveness score for the asset and may combine the scores to generate a security risk score for the asset. The device may provide the security risk score for display.

  • Publication number: 20220120108
Abstract: Flood Hinge is a novel system that allows an object to remain on its foundation in its normal resting position, to vertically and asymmetrically separate from this foundation upon application of an external force, while remaining securely tethered to the foundation, only to be guided to return to its original resting position as the external force subsides or is removed. This is accomplished by use of multiple parallel strut systems, each arranged in opposing positions.

  • Publication number: 20220027454
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to computer architecture and infrastructure for guest operating systems executing on a host operating system. A method of authenticating and authorizing a user in an emulated computing environment is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request by a user operating on a guest operating system and having user credentials to invoke a process in a secure sandbox on a host operating system; searching a pool of credentials for the user credentials in the host operating system; associating the user credentials with the process such that all services running on a guest operating system have the same credentials as a host operating system; and after the process has completed, returning the user credentials to the pool.

  • Publication number: 20220027485
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to computer architecture and infrastructure for guest operating systems executing on a host operating system. According to one embodiment, a method of allowing root file access includes receiving a request from a guest operating system to have root file access in a host operating system; determining, by the host operating system, if the request is asking for information relevant to the guest operating system itself, and if the request is asking for information that has the same credentials as the request; and if the information is relevant to the guest operating system itself and the information has the same credentials as the request, then providing a secure path to the relevant root file system on the host operating system.

  • Publication number: 20220027457
Abstract: The present disclosure elates generally to a computer architecture and infrastructure for guest operating systems executing on a host operating system. More particularly, it relates to methods and systems for allowing a guest operating system to control the resources of a commodity server system. A method of allowing a guest operating system to control and manage computer resources includes receiving, by a host operating system, a call from a guest operating system to control and manage computer resources; creating, by the host operating system, a secure sandbox executing on the host operating system; and creating, by the host operating system, a secure tunnel between the secure sandbox and the guest operating system, the secure tunnel having loopback networking. The secure sandbox is controlled and managed by the guest operating system but executing on the host operating system.

  • Publication number: 20220027458
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to computer architecture and infrastructure for guest operating systems executing on a host operating system. A method of compiling and executing a new program in a secure sandbox. The method includes receiving, by a host operating system, a request from a guest operating system to invoke an execution environment in a secure sandbox on a host operating system; and execute the execution environment in the secure sandbox. The user can use the execution environment in the secure sand box from a guest operating system to compile and execute the new program on the host operating system.

  • Patent number: 11214459
Abstract: A tape wrap dispenser comprising an outer enclosure having a first side with a first aperture, a center section with a tape exit slot, and a second side with a second aperture. Also included are a first release/cut button which is attached to the first side, a second release/cut button which is attached to the second side, and a neck lanyard having a safety quick release routed through both the first aperture and the second aperture. There is a central hub inside the outer enclosure and a tape wrap roll mounted on the central hub and which extends through the tape exit slot. A mechanical linkage connected to the first and second release/cut buttons moves a cutter that cuts the tape at the tape exit slot. The outer enclosure should have a flat surface to prevent rolling.

  • Patent number: 9529610
Abstract: Systems and methods for executing non-native instructions in a computing system having a processor configured to execute native instructions are provided. A dynamic translator uses instruction code translation in parallel with just-in-time (JIT) compilation to execute the non-native instructions. Non-native instructions may be interpreted to generate instruction codes, which may be stored in a shadow memory. During a subsequent scheduling of a non-native instruction for execution, the corresponding instruction code may be retrieved from the shadow memory and executed, thereby avoiding reinterpreting the non-native instruction. In addition, the JIT compiler may compile instruction codes to generate native instructions, which may be made available for execution, further speeding up the execution process.
