Publication number: 20220313294Abstract: An intravascular articulating retrieval apparatus may be used to move objects within the vasculature, such as to remove an intravascular filter, tissue and other items from the vasculature. The apparatus has a user interface to manipulate a first and second actuating portion that are coupled to the distal end of the apparatus conduit. A retrieval apparatus may include forceps coupled to the second actuating portion whereby the retrieval actuator opens and closes the forceps for retrieval of an IVF or other device, such as stent or stent graft. An intravascular articulating retrieval apparatus may be used to dissect thrombus from the interior of the vascular wall, move a stent or remove a portion of a stent or stent graft to provide better blood flow or to allow blood flow into a branched vessel.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2022Publication date: October 6, 2022Inventors: Sunenshine J. Peter, Kevin Hirsch, Joseph Barrett

Publication number: 20220226555Abstract: A manual clot aspiration and filtration system enables a method of removing a clot without general anesthesia and the expense of an operating room. An aspiration and filtration system for bodily fluid utilizes a syringe coupled with a filter unit to draw bodily fluid through the filter unit to collect debris on the filter. A flow valve may then be turned and the plunger depressed to force the filtered fluid back into the body. The filter may be configured to capture particles such as blood clots and plaque. The filter unit has a cover that can be removed for inspection and/or removal of the collected debris. When the cover is replaced, trapped air may be removed by turning the flow-valve to a purge direction and pressing the plunger into the syringe to force fluid back toward the filter unit to purge the trapped air through the purge valve.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 7, 2022Publication date: July 21, 2022Inventors: Peter J. Sunenshine, Kevin Hirsch, Joseph Barrett

Patent number: 11116567Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to cauterize tissue. For example, certain aspects herein relate to a cautery device. The cautery device includes a voltage source comprising a voltage pump and a battery. The cautery device further includes a probe for applying current from the voltage source to tissue. The probe includes a first electrically conductive element electrically coupled to a first pole of the voltage source. The probe further includes a second electrically conductive element coupled to a second pole of the voltage source.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2018Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Assignee: Single Pass, LLCInventors: Peter J. Suneshine, Kevin Hirsch, Bryan D. Knodel
