  • Publication number: 20130083039
Abstract: A multi optical-route Head Up Display (HUD), comprising: at least an image display unit, to generate at least two input images, and project them respectively to a plurality of relay lenses, which adjusts reflection angle of said input signals and then transmits them to a virtual image generation unit, said virtual image generation unit produces a plurality of virtual images, and transmits them to a plurality of transmission mirrors, which reflects said virtual images to form a large area virtual image. Based on technical contents mentioned above, size of optical elements of lens and mirrors can be reduced drastically, so that said multi optical-route HUD can be miniaturized, to achieve image display range of large area, thus the moving vehicle information frame required completely overlaps outside view, as such effectively solving defects of a conventional single optical-route image display device capable of only providing small area image display.

  • Patent number: 8401519
Abstract: A system and method for provisioning wireless devices such that they are only capable of accessing network services when in a specified location. A device surveys the current location of the device for existing base stations and stores a corresponding network environment profile. After the profile is stored, network services will only be provided to the device if the current network profile matches the stored profile.

  • Patent number: 7416550
Abstract: A method of electroforming tissue comprises creating stress in the tissue; and causing a direct current to flow in the tissue to change the stress, strain, or intrinsic mechanical properties including shape of the tissue. Force is mechanically applied to the tissue to create external stresses or material parameters of the tissue are used to create internal stresses in the tissue by causing a current to flow in the tissue. The method further comprises the step of monitoring the stresses in the tissue and controlling the current flowing in the tissue according to the stresses therein by monitoring impedance, the optical properties, the pH, acoustic properties of the tissue, the gas formation in the tissue, the color of the tissue as caused by a chemical dye disposed therein or as caused by electroplating a material thereon.

  • Patent number: 5356775
Abstract: This invention is directed to the cloning of the gene which encodes an ATP-sensitive K.sup.+ channel in rat outer medulla cells, isolated cDNA sequences which encode said ATP-sensitive K.sup.+ channels, isolated proteins produced by said cDNA sequences, and agents capable of binding to said proteins. Further included in the invention are methods for identifying other members of the family of ATP-sensitive potassium channels (the ROMK1 family of channel proteins), identifying, isolating, and cloning the genes which encode ROMK1 associated polypeptides, identifying agents capable of binding to other members of the family, modulating expression of said family of ATP-sensitive potassium channels, and modulating the activity of said family of ATP-sensitive potassium channels. Additionally, included in the invention are methods for identifying drugs which function as K.sub.ATP channel openers and K.sub.ATP channel closers.
