  • Patent number: 11896522
Abstract: A device includes a frame, a rotatable housing and a permanent magnet. The frame is configured to be worn adjacent an eye region of a wearer. The rotatable housing is coupled to the frame. The permanent magnet is coupled to the rotatable housing and includes a first surface having a first static magnetic polarity and a second surface having a second static magnetic polarity opposite the first static magnetic polarity. The rotatable housing is arranged to rotate the permanent magnet between a first position orienting the first surface towards the eye region of the wearer and a second position orienting the second surface towards the eye region of the wearer. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

Assignee: The Schepens Eye Research Institute, Inc.
Inventors: Kevin Houston, Eleftherios Paschalis Ilios, Matteo Tomasi
  • Publication number: 20220240773
Abstract: Systems and methods for treating or detecting binocular vision disorders of a patient. The system, via a display, presents a dichoptic presentation with first and second portions of content that are separated on the display. The first and second portions of content are translated horizontally across the display to adjust the vergence demand of the user.

  • Patent number: 10071478
Abstract: A bracketing system provides a structural support for a parallel robot and the moving components thereof. The bracketing system also serves to increase the functionality of the parallel robot. The bracketing system includes a plurality of aluminum brackets fabricated through extrusion, and serving as heat sinks The brackets comprise a substantially triangular shaped bracket disposed to integrally join with the vertices of a plurality of horizontal members and a plurality of vertical members on the parallel robot. The horizontal members and the vertical members form a triangle shape with three vertices and three sides. This allows for six brackets to position between an inner surface of each vertex. Mounting holes on the brackets enable a fastener to pass through for attaching the brackets to the vertical members and the horizontal members. The brackets slide along the vertical member to enable tightening of a tension belt and adding accessories.

  • Patent number: 10073827
Abstract: A method to generate a process flow diagram is disclosed. The method includes receiving a textual description of a process at a remote terminal from an originating user, where the textual description includes one or more activities. The method also includes transmitting the textual description of the process to network servers using a network and analyzing the textual description at the network servers using an analysis module to detect whether there is an error in the textual description of the process. In addition, the method includes generating an annotated textual description according to a set of predefined rules that corrects any known errors that were detected in the textual description and generating a process flow diagram from the annotated textual description using a graph generation module. Further, the method includes transmitting the process flow diagram to the originating user using the network.
