  • Publication number: 20240094304
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are provided for determining an early battery depletion (EBD) condition of an implantable medical device that includes a memory storing program instructions and a processor executing the program instructions. Circuitry is electrically coupled to the processor, and the circuitry and processor perform one or more tasks related to at least one of collecting signals indictive of physiologic activity, analyzing collected signals, delivering therapy, or communicating with an external device. A battery supplies energy to the circuitry and processor. A monitoring circuit coupled to the battery measures actual energy usage from the battery representing at least one of a current draw from the battery during corresponding tasks or a voltage measurement across the battery. Circuitry and processor calculate projected energy usage from the battery in connection with the corresponding tasks, and determine when an EBD condition exists based on projected energy usage and actual energy usage.

  • Patent number: 11925335
Abstract: A surgical instrument includes a rotatable electrical coupling assembly having a first part and a second part that electrically couple and rotate relative to each other. The second part is carried by and rotates with a tube collar coupled to a transducer. A portion of the transducer is inserted through an aperture of the second part, but does not contact the second part. The first part of the assembly may electrically couple to the second part via pogo pins, brush contacts, or ball bearings. Alternatively, the first part may comprise conductive channels formed in the casing. The second part may comprise a rotatable drum with a conductive trace. In some versions, one or more components may comprise MID components. In another version, the rotatable electrical coupling assembly comprises a rotatable PC board and brush contact. Further still, a circuit board may be provided with the transducer inside a transducer casing.

  • Publication number: 20230263480
Abstract: A system for verifying a candidate pathologic episode of a patient is provided that includes an accelerometer configured to be implanted in the patient. The accelerometer is configured to obtain accelerometer data along at least one axis. The system also includes a memory configured to store program instructions, and one or more processors that, when executing the program instructions, are configured to obtain accelerometer data. The one or more processors are also configured to determine a plurality of control three-dimensional point vectors related to the accelerometer data, and obtain a biological signal and identify a candidate pathologic episode based on the biological signal. The one or more processors are also configured to analyze the plurality of control three-dimensional point vectors to identify a physical action experienced by the patient, and verify the candidate pathologic episode based on the physical action.

  • Publication number: 20220354410
Abstract: A computer implemented method and system for detecting an arrhythmia are provided. The method is under control of one or more processors configured with executable instructions. The method obtains far field cardiac activity (CA) signals sensed at electrodes located remote from a heart over a period of time and applies a feature attenuation filter to the CA signals to form modified CA signals. The feature attenuation filter reduces potential T-waves as a feature not of interest. The method calculates a duty cycle (DC) characteristic of the modified CA signals with respect to duty cycle boundaries and detects an arrhythmia based on the DC characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20220167903
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for managing presentation of cardiac activity signals. The methods and systems obtain device classified (DC) data sets generated by an implantable medical device (IMD), the DC data sets including a corresponding cardiac activity (CA) segment from an episode identified by the IMD; compare the CA segments, associated with different episodes, to one another to identify a level of similarity therebetween; separate the CA segments into at least first and second clusters based on the level of similarity; designate a first representative CA segment from the first cluster to be representative of the CA segments in the first cluster; and designate a second representative CA segment from the second cluster to be representative of the CA segments in the second cluster; and a display to present the first and second representative CA segments as representative of the first and second clusters.

  • Publication number: 20220117538
Abstract: A system and method for declaring arrhythmias in cardiac activity are provided. The system includes memory to store specific executable instructions and a machine learning (ML) model. One or more processors are configured to execute the specific executable instructions to obtain device classified arrhythmia (DCA) data sets generated by an implantable medical device (IMD) for corresponding candidate arrhythmias episodes declared by the IMD. The DCA data sets include cardiac activity (CA) signals for one or more beats sensed by the IMD and one or more device documented (DD) markers that are generated by the IMD. The system applies the ML model to the DCA data sets to identify a valid sub-set of the DCA data sets that correctly characterize the corresponding CA signals and to identify an invalid sub-set of the DCA data sets that incorrectly characterize the corresponding CA signals.

  • Publication number: 20090190433
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for mixing salt with a liquid to generate a salt slurry for spreading on a road surface for snow and ice control. The apparatus includes a chute having an inlet and an outlet, the inlet receiving therein the salt. The chute defines a passageway which is disposed between the inlet and the outlet. A first roller is disposed adjacent to the outlet of the chute, the first roller having an axis of rotation and a first and a second end. A second roller has a first and second extremity, the second roller being disposed adjacent to the outlet of the chute. The second roller has a rotational axis which is disposed parallel to the axis of rotation of the first roller. The rollers cooperate with each other so that the chute guides the salt between the rollers. An arrangement is provided for rotating the rollers relative to each other such that when the salt is guided between the rotating rollers, crushing of the salt is permitted.

  • Patent number: 5782016
Abstract: A scraper apparatus is disclosed for mounting under a body of a truck. The apparatus includes a table having a forward and a trailing end. The forward end is pivotally secured to the body of the truck. The arrangement is such that the table is permitted to pitch relative to the body of the truck. A bearing is secured to the table and is disposed between the forward and the trailing ends. A mold board scraper is disposed below and supported by the table with the mold board scraper being rotatably secured to the table by the bearing. A hydraulic cylinder secured to the mold board scraper rotates the scraper relative to the table and an actuator pivots the table for controlling the pitch of the table and the mold board secured to the table so that scraping of snow, ice and gravel regardless of the level thereof relative to the truck is permitted.
