  • Patent number: 6378922
Abstract: A length-adjustable extension pole with telescoping members includes an accessory-actuating cable that automatically adapts its operative length in concert with length adjustment of the pole without separate action by a user. The cable runs within the telescoping members between a pole accessory end where an accessory is mounted and a pole handle end where a pole trigger lever is located. A first cable component, typically including a cable attached to a rack (or a notched or threaded rod), runs from the pole accessory end toward the pole handle end. A second cable component runs from the trigger lever on the pole handle end toward the pole accessory end overlapping the first cable component.

  • Patent number: 5820025
Abstract: A reversible spray tip holder for connection to a spray gun comprises a union with like quick-disconnect mounts on each of entry and exit ends for connecting to a mounting adaptor which facilitates connection to the spray gun. A base and a tip housing join by means of a base threaded bolt threaded into a matching tip housing threaded recess to comprise the union. In the tip housing is a tip receiver opening into the tip housing threaded recess on one end and extending to the tip housing exit end at its other end which is closed except for an aperture through which the tip receivable within sprays paint. A tip is received and sealed into the tip receiver, secured therein by the base threaded bolt, with a tip nozzle immediately adjacent to and directed through the aperture. A through passageway extends from the adaptor and spray gun through the base and tip housing to the spray tip. Diverging shields on the tip housing preserve an intended spray pattern.

  • Patent number: 5485960
Abstract: A paint spray gun extender, to which may universally be a paint spray gun having a handle and a trigger, providing a 360.degree. adjustment in pitch, is achieved with a hollow extension pole and a cable running through the pole between a handle on one end and a spray gun mounting apparatus on its other end. The apparatus comprises a vertical support plate adjustably secured with a bolt and nut on which the plate pivots in face-to-face contact with a flat mounting portion on the pole end. A pivoting arm is secured to the distal end of the support plate to which is connected a cable running from the arm down the pole to an actuating control lever. An adjustable trigger actuator is provided on the arm extending over the plate for placement next to the spray gun trigger after gun angular orientation is set.
