  • Patent number: 10426049
Abstract: An electrical enclosure includes a plurality of walls. The electrical enclosure also includes at least one compartment defined, at least in part, by the plurality of walls, and at least one ventilation opening formed in one of the plurality of walls. The at least one ventilation opening provides a flow path from the at least one compartment. At least one closure is provided on the one of the plurality of walls at the at least one ventilation opening. The at least one closure is responsive to a pressure wave to selectively close the at least one ventilation opening and re-open the at least one ventilation opening after the pressure wave has passed from the electrical enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20160295730
Abstract: An electrical enclosure includes at least one circuit breaker compartment and a cover mounted thereon. The cover includes an opening receptive of at least one circuit breaker. A gasket extends about at least a portion of the opening. The gasket includes an inner seal assembly and an outer seal assembly. The outer seal assembly is positioned to engage the at least one circuit breaker when the cover is in a closed position. The inner seal assembly is movable between a non-deployed configuration spaced from the at least one circuit breaker and a deployed configuration engaged with the at least one circuit breaker. The inner seal assembly is responsive to a pressure wave in the at least one circuit breaker compartment to move from the non-deployed configuration to the deployed configuration and substantially prevent out gassing through the opening in the cover.

  • Patent number: 7066679
Abstract: A shaft coupling element comprising a first portion configured for connection to a shaft and a second portion configured for connection to a secondary component. The first portion comprises first and second spaced apart side walls with a partial cylindrical portion extending therebetween to define a shaft receiving slot. A safety notch extends through the partial cylindrical portion adjacent the axial opening in to the shaft receiving slot to define a radial opening from the shaft receiving slot.
