  • Patent number: 10726817
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and method for reducing a volume of sound that travels away from a volume of space that is proximate to an instrument, while limiting an amount of physical contact with the instrument and limiting change to characteristics of the sound being produced by the instrument.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20180127028
Abstract: A wheel alignment Camber adjuster for a motor vehicle suspension of a popular 2 bolt flange strut comprising a transverse slot which can be in either the top or bottom hole. Into the slot tab spaces are placed enabling the securing bolt to be placed in set positions of offset. 2 tabs one end of slot or 2 tabs other end or one tab to fill slot on either side of the bolt allows 3 separate adjustment positions. The adjuster is installed by removing one of the 2 bolts that secure the wheel hub. Hub is then swung clear of hole and a drill bit location device is used to allow to drill and convert accurately the round hole into a transverse slot. Hub is then repositioned so bolt can be inserted in place along with the tabs in slot at the required Camber position then nut attached allowing bolt to be fully re-tightened.

  • Patent number: 8087676
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a suspension height adjustment mechanism comprising a main body, a rotatable assembly being rotatably mounted to the main body and having a first threaded portion, a tool engagement portion for rotating the rotatable assembly, a spring support having a second threaded portion engaging the first threaded portion, an anti-rotation means on the spring support adapted to cooperate with a corresponding anti-rotation means on the main body to prevent rotation of the spring support with respect to the main body, such that, in use, rotation of the tool engagement portion causes the spring support to axially translate along the rotatable assembly, thus adjusting the height of the suspension. This disclosure also relates to a vehicle suspension system comprising the suspension height adjustment mechanism and to a vehicle comprising the vehicle suspension system.

  • Patent number: 6431565
Abstract: Castor of a motor vehicle suspension, typically having a wishbone (1), is adjusted by mounting the suspension upright ball joint (4) in a housing (6) having an offset spigot (10) rotatable by an Allen key engaged in the spigot to move the ball joint backward and forward while the spigot is restrained by a slot (16) in a location bracket (14) engaged with the wishbone. Camber is adjusted by a threaded adjuster (24) operable between the location bracket (14) and the housing (6) while allowing rotation of the housing relative to the bracket.

  • Patent number: 6244604
Abstract: A wheel alignment adjuster for a motor vehicle suspension of a twin-flange strut-type comprises an elongate plate having a transverse slot. A bolt passes through aligned upper holes in the flanges of the suspension strut and the bolt engages through the transverse slot in the plate. The bolt has a non-circular cross-section with a cam washer having an aperture corresponding in shape and size to the cross section of the bolt but having a circular periphery, the aperture in the cam washer being offset from its center; the periphery of the cam washer is restrained between side flanges extending from the front face of the plate.
