  • Publication number: 20230308499
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for uploading media to an inspection record via a hybrid cell telephony connection and WWW protocol connection are disclosed. Example embodiments include: initiating a telephony call by an authority representative (Auth) having an inspector record for which remote capturing or viewing of media by a Field Agent (FA) is needed for an inspection at a site; sending a notification to a device of the FA (FA device), the notification including a link to establish a data connection between the FA device and a public-facing web server/service (PFWS); establishing a connection with the PFWS and prompting the FA by use of the telephony call to capture one or more snapshots or videos (media) at the site using a camera of the FA device; and uploading the media to the PFWS for storage.

  • Patent number: 10776160
Abstract: A method and system for optimizing the interaction and execution of multiple service tasks associated with a logical transaction. The multiple components or “legs” of the transaction consisting of tasks executable by a computing service or software as a service (SAAS) endpoint are identified. The system determines a strategy type or belief level associated with each of the service tasks included in a transaction. The belief level may be categorized as either “optimistic” or “pessimistic” based on one or more performance parameters (e.g., a probability of failure of a service and an expense associated with a failure of the service) derived from historical data associated with a particular transaction or service task. A sequence of execution for the multiple service tasks associated with the transaction is determined based at least in part on the belief level associated with each of the multiple service tasks.

  • Publication number: 20130036355
Abstract: A system and method for extending a video player for the purpose of embedded purchase, donation, and referral is described. An example embodiment includes: loading a video player into an application or web page, the video player having underlying video elements; using an application programming interface for the video player; creating an enhanced video player by creating various user interface elements layered on top of the underlying video elements to appear as if the created user interface elements are part of the video player; using the enhanced video player to play a video; and allowing a user/operator to donate, purchase, or provide information via the created user interface elements as a result of viewing the video or portion thereof.
