Abstract: A display support apparatus includes a stabilizing member defining a cable passageway, a rotational coupling member coupled to the stabilizing member, and a plurality of supporting arms coupled to the stabilizing member, at least one supporting arm defining a cable-routing channel, whereby the stabilizing member rigidly maintains the plurality of supporting arms in a substantially parallel orientation relative to each other. The display support apparatus may be rotatably coupled to a chassis base and a display may be rotatably coupled to the support arms to provide rigid support for the display on the chassis.

Abstract: A display rotation controlling apparatus includes a chassis base, a plurality of support arms rotatably coupled to the chassis base, at least one support arm including a display coupling member, and a display rotatably coupled to the support arms, the display including at least one support arm coupling member. The display coupling member and support arm coupling member are engaged in order to orient the display in a notebook mode and may be disengaged to orient the display in a tablet mode.

Abstract: A system and method for a multi-functional security mechanism in a docking station is disclosed. A docking station includes a hook to secure a portable computer to the docking station. A base plate includes a locked orientation and an unlocked orientation. A lever couples to the base plate to cause the base plate to actuate between the locked and unlocked orientation. A media bay, disposed in the docking station, receives a media device. A media bay lock pin couples to the media bay, engages the media device, and prevents removal of the media device from the media bay. A media bay lock couples to the base plate to release the media bay lock pin to engage the media device placed in the media bay. A media device sensor may associate with the media bay lock pin to permit the media bay lock pin to engage the media device.
