    Abstract: A system that provides selective notification of user availability may include a processor circuit. The processor circuit may be configured to receive an availability status update of a user for a period of time. The processor circuit may be configured to update an aggregate calendar with the availability status update of the user for the period of time, where the aggregate calendar includes availability statuses of a set of users including the user. The processor circuit may be further configured to determine at least one user of the set of users that is likely to be interested in the availability status update of the user based at least in part on a user relation criterion. The processor circuit may be further configured to provide an indication of the availability status update of the user for the period of time on a calendar of the at least one user.
