  • Patent number: 8201425
Abstract: A lock member includes a body having a lower surface below which a male lock pin projects in an orientation that allows it to be received in a female lock member. The lower surface is continuous, entirely surrounds, and is spaced from the lock pin. The spacing provides room to receive the upper portion of the disc retaining hub. The ring-shaped planar portion may rest directly against or closely adjacent the upper surface of a media disc. In one configuration, the ring-shaped planar portion spaces the lock pin from an EAS tag chamber. The configuration of the lock member increases the likelihood that the media disc will be damaged during a physical attack on the lock member.

  • Patent number: 7845114
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for connecting an interconnectable plant tray to a complementary plant tray are provided. In particular embodiments of the present invention include an interconnectable plant tray comprising a tray having one or more sides and one or more storage receptacles. The tray further includes a connection region positioned along at least one of the sides for connecting the tray to a complementary tray, the connection region including a first portion and a second portion, the portions being separated by a notch. The tray also has one or more coupling members located along the first portion of the connection region, and one or more coupling receptacles for receiving coupling members of the complementary tray, the one or more coupling receptacles being located within the second portion of the connection region. In particular embodiments, the complementary tray is substantially identical to the interconnectable tray.

  • Patent number: 7526931
Abstract: The present invention provides a security device and method for securing a media case. The security device may include a hinged pair of closure members, which when closed define a substantially rectangular aperture for receiving a media case to be secured with a close fit. The closure members include an internal protrusion that extends within a portion of the substantially rectangular aperture that coincides with a finger cavity portion of a media case. The closure members include a latch opposite the side including the internal protrusion.

  • Publication number: 20070193900
Abstract: A media storage container has a base and lid with a hub disposed on each of the base and lid. The hubs overlap each other when the lid is closed so that the overall height of the media storage container may be reduced. In one configuration, the hubs engage each other to stabilize the media storage container when the lid is closed. In one configuration, each hub includes a pair of positioning fingers disposed between retaining fingers. The positioning fingers have a height less than the height of the retaining fingers and do not snap over the top of the media disc when the media disc is disposed on the hub. Each positioning finger includes an upper arm that may engage the upper arm of the retaining finger when the lid is closed to help hold the discs on the hubs.

  • Publication number: 20070138039
Abstract: A disc storage container has a container body with a base and a lid. The lid is movable between open and closed positions with respect to the base. The base has a nest and a peripheral wall that cooperate to define a slot disposed between the portion of the nest adjacent to the peripheral wall. A disc-holding page having a rim is pivotably connected to the container body. A portion of the rim is disposed in the slot when the lid is closed with respect to the base to enclose the disc-holding page within the container. The multiple disc hub configuration for the page includes alternating disc retaining fingers projecting from opposite sides of the base wall of the page.

  • Publication number: 20070102311
Abstract: A media storage container includes a base that supports a media disc retaining hub configured to hold a media disc such as a CD or DVD. A lid is connected to the base and movable between open and closed positions. The container is configured to hold a second item of recorded media that interacts with the retaining hub when the lid is closed. In one configuration, an add-on page carries the second item of recorded media. The page defines an opening and a portion of the disc retaining hub extends into the opening when the page is disposed over the base.
