The music stand and the support rack can be used independently, but can provide additional stability when coupled to each other. The podium and the rack can be positioned to accommodate the preferences of a user, including by height, radial, lateral, and pitch/tilt adjustments. The support rack is adapted to receive any number of user instruments, such as, for example, a laptop or an electronic keyboard. The podium and the rack can be transported without being lifted completely off the support surface.
