    Abstract: A sealant or mastic composition comprises a dispersion of a finely divided particulate solid in a silicone resin formulation which contains a dispersant containing at least one group of the formula--(O--A--CO).sub.n --.The dispersant may be derived from a hydroxycarboxylic acid and preferably has a --COOH end group. The dispersant modifies the shear properties of the sealant.
