Patent number: 11827408Abstract: An elongated object label applicator has a driver operably connected to a wrapping mechanism. The wrapping mechanism has a plurality of guide rollers spaced about a central portion. A belt is tensioned around the guide rollers and across an opening in the central portion through which an object to labeled is received. The belt is deflectable against an elastic force such that the belt can be recessed with the central portion by a force provided by the object to be labeled. The wrapping mechanism is driven by the driver to rotate the guide rollers about an axis of rotation of the wrapping mechanism passing through the central portion. The wrapping mechanism orbits the object to be labeled located within the central portion.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Panduit Corp.Inventors: Kevin L. Nelson, Marc R. Obenshain

Patent number: 7871079Abstract: A sealing assembly having a flexible sleeve and a means for sealing a top portion of the sleeve around a plurality of cables, such as by a hook and loop type fastener attached at the top portion of the sleeve. The sleeve is configured to receive at least one cable therethrough and a bottom portion of the sleeve is configured to be secured to a surface. The sleeve can also be electrically conductive such that the sleeve dissipates static electricity from the cable to the surface. The sealing assembly can also have a grommet positioned adjacent the bottom portion of the sleeve. The grommet has a first wall having a plurality of apertures for connecting the grommet to a surface and a second wall that extends substantially perpendicular to the first wall and is configured to extend through an aperture in the surface. The second wall is flexible to protect the cable from sharp edges associated with the aperture in the surface.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2007Date of Patent: January 18, 2011Assignee: Panduit Corp.Inventors: Joseph Allen Dukes, Kevin L Nelson, Rhonda Johnson

Patent number: 6586680Abstract: A reconfigurable modular bend radius control fixture system allows for customization of bend module sections to achieve a variety of configurations with only a minimal number of different parts. The system includes at least one main section having a curved surface with a predetermined radius that provides a first bend radius control surface and side walls, at least one straight side plate section removably mountable to the side walls of the main section, the side plate section having a side wall that extends beyond the curved surface when mounted, and at least one bend radius control side plate removably mountable to the side walls of the main section. The bend radius control side plate section forms a second bend radius control surface. These sections can be mounted in various configurations to form a bend radius control fixture that can be mounted to a mount member of a cable management system, such as a ladder rack.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2000Date of Patent: July 1, 2003Assignee: Panduit Corp.Inventor: Kevin L. Patent number: 5621256Abstract: An automatic switched power receptacle includes an outlet receptacle adapted to receive a plug. A relay is connected between the power receptacle and a source of power to selectively power the receptacle. A plug presence sensor in proximity to the receptacle senses presence of a plug in the receptacle. The plug presence sensor comprises a light source and light sensor, the light source and light sensor being disposed on opposite sides of a path of movement of a plug being inserted in the receptacle. An automatic control circuit is connected between the relay and the plug presence sensor for selectively energizing the relay to power the receptacle incident to the sensor sensing presence of a plug.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1993Date of Patent: April 15, 1997Assignee: Molex IncorporatedInventors: Burke J. Crane, Garth S. Jones, Kevin L. Nelson

Patent number: 5418679Abstract: A plug presence sensor comprises an LED and a light sensor in the form of a photo-transistor which senses presence of a plug in a receptacle. The sensor is monitored by a microcontroller to control latching of a relay. The microcontroller de-energizes the relay, so that no power is present at the receptacle, when no plug is inserted. When the plug is inserted, then the microcontroller causes the relay to be energized to provide power to the receptacle. The microcontroller is preprogrammed to communicate with a remote master controller. In the event that a loss of communication occurs between the microcontroller and the master controller, the microcontroller automatically de-energizes the relay so that no power is present at the receptacle. A communication error output signal is connected to an override circuit including a capacitor which differentiates an edge of the communication error signal to inject a pulse onto the plug presence sensor signal which simulates removal and reinsertion of the plug.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 1993Date of Patent: May 23, 1995Assignee: Molex IncorporatedInventors: Burke J. Crane, Garth S. Jones, Kevin L. Nelson

Patent number: 5281154Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a pair of spaced receptacle modules mounted to a first printed circuit board which is electrically coupled to a second printed circuit board spaced from and generally parallel to the first printed circuit board. A conductive ground plate is electrically coupled between the printed circuit boards and mechanically supports the circuit boards in their spaced generally parallel relationship. The ground plate is disposed perpendicular to the first and second printed circuit boards forming two separate compartments between the first and second printed circuit boards to provide electromagnetic interference isolation between the compartments. An electrical component such as transformer may be mounted on one side of the ground plate between the spaced generally parallel printed circuit boards, and the ground plate provides a heat sink for the transformer.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1992Date of Patent: January 25, 1994Assignee: Molex IncorporatedInventors: Joseph D.
