  • Publication number: 20110056694
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved process for removing heavy oil, bitumen and/or paraffinic materials in oil production or storage wells including onshore and offshore petroleum wells, petroleum residual disposal wells and Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) or Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS) producing wells used in the oil sands industry. This process helps restore the operating efficiency of organically contaminated hydrocarbon producing wells in a safe, fast and effective manner without the need to insert any equipment to mechanically remove organic contaminants. Used is a heated terpene-based chemical injected with or without steam following a hot water or steam pre-heat to create a very effective cleaning process.

  • Patent number: 6893509
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel process for interior cleaning and by cleaning, removing noxious gas and/or restoring the operating efficiency of organically contaminated hydrocarbon processing equipment in a safe and effective manner and in a very short period of time, without a need to manually enter an unsafe environment and mechanically remove organic contaminants. Used is a formulation of non-aqueous, monocyclic saturated terpene mixed with a non-ionic surfactant package. The terpene-based chemical is injected into organically contaminated equipment using a novel process involving high-pressure steam to form a very effective cleaning vapor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 28, 2003
Date of Patent: May 17, 2005

  • Patent number: 6571896
Abstract: A walker has a frame with laterally spaced front vertical post members and laterally spaced rear vertical post members, with handle members extending between them. Wheels are mounted on the front vertical post members and gear motors, supported by the front vertical post members are connected to drive the wheels. At least one control mounted on or adjacent the handle members within reach of a person grasping the handles is connected to energize the motors when the control is actuated by the person. A motor-actuated tray assembly is mounted between the front vertical post members for pivotal movement between an orientation substantially vertical and an orientation substantially parallel to the surface on which the walker is resting. A lead screw assembly with a motor in at least one of the vertical post members is adapted to raise and lower the height of the handle members.
