    Abstract: A pliers with adjustable jaws permits alignment of the jaws in various orientations with respect to the handles. The pliers includes an internal spring which maintains the jaws normally in the open position. Detent balls, in combination with the spring enable movement of the jaws simultaneously and equally between detent positions to adjust the orientation of the jaws with respect to the handles.
