  • Patent number: 11993611
Abstract: Equipotent indolocarbazole-derived analogs of staurosporine identified herein are prepared through C—H borylation chemistry. Functionality resides at C2 and C10 of the indolocarbazole aromatic region. Introducing functionality in this previously inaccessible region does not abrogate kinase activity and is shown to change the selectivity profile.

  • Patent number: 11975069
Abstract: Emulsion-based and micromolded (“MM”) or three dimensional printed (“3DP”) polymeric formulations for single injection of antigen, preferably releasing at two or more time periods, have been developed. Formulations are preferably formed of biocompatible, biodegradable polymers. Discrete regions encapsulating antigen, alone or in combination with other antigens, adjuvants, stabilizers, and release modifiers, are present in the formulations. Antigen is preferably present in excipient at the time of administration, or on the surface of the formulation, for immediate release, and incorporated within the formulation for release at ten to 45 days after initial release of antigen, optionally at ten to 90 day intervals for release of antigen in one or more additional time periods. Antigen may be stabilized through the use of stabilizing agents such as trehalose glass. In a preferred embodiment for immunization against polio, antigen is released at the time of administration, and two, four and six months thereafter.

  • Patent number: 6027295
Abstract: A lifting system for moving mobile homes that includes wheeled jack assemblies, jack units assembled from such assemblies and a segmented track for supporting such assemblies and units. Each jack assembly preferably includes a jack rollingly carried on wheels, and a roller head operatively connected to the working end of the jack to move from a lowered position to a raised position. The wheels allow lateral adjustment of the home, while the roller head allows longitudinal adjustment of the home. In the preferred embodiment, each jack unit includes two jack assemblies, with one of the assemblies further including a drive motor operatively connected to its wheels. Furthermore, the assemblies are interconnected by a hydraulic power unit in the form of a housing that encloses and protects the hydraulics for controlling each jack and drive motor. Each segment in the segmented track generally includes a pair of rails structurally interconnected, with a hole formed adjacent each end of the segment.

  • Patent number: 5140923
Abstract: A raising and lowering device is provided which may be mounted on a reference structure having a mounting surface. The raising and lowering device includes a pair of guide columns, each guide column having a load bearing mount fixedly secured thereto. A load bearing surface on each load bearing mount abuts the mounting surface on the reference structure. Each guide column also defines a cavity and a slot allowing access to the cavity.A support structure which bears the objects to be raised or lowered extends through the slots and into the cavity of each guide column. Roller assemblies, coupled to the support structure, are positioned within the cavity of each guide column to direct movement of the support structure along the guide columns. Cables connect to the support structure at one end and to a cable joint at the other end. The cable joint is movable using a single actuator, the support structure being evenly raised and lowered thereby.

  • Patent number: 5125331
Abstract: The invented device includes a chamber in which articles to be crushed are placed, a bulkhead at one end of the chamber, a plunger operating in the chamber to compress articles against the bulkhead, a collection area adjacent to the chamber for collecting liquid extracted from the articles and also for collecting the articles after they have been crushed, and a plate that sweeps any liquid and the articles from the collection area into appropriate receptacles.

  • Patent number: 4919979
Abstract: A bale of compressed garbage and other refuse is formed in a stationary baling chamber by compressing successive charges of refuse against an inclined discharge gate by means of a multi-stage hydraulic ram having a platen or specific shape. The bale thus has a rectangular transverse cross-section having parallel sides and parallel top and bottom, a forward end upwardly-rearwardly inclined at about 15.degree. from the vertical and a rearward end having a vertical lower stretch extending upward from the bottom about half the height of the bale, an upwardly-forwardly inclined stretch at about 42.degree. to the horizontal above the lower stretch and a short vertical stretch above the inclined stretch.

  • Patent number: 4729304
Abstract: A stationary chamber is located below an apron on which garbage and other refuse is dumped from collection trucks. An opening in the apron is aligned with an opening in the top of the chamber. The discharge end of the chamber is closed by a gate which slants rearward at an angle of 15.degree. to the vertical against which the refuse is compacted. The gate may be raised when the chamber is to be discharged. Reciprocating within the chamber is a platen having its upper portion slanted forward at about an angle of 42.degree.. The platen is driven by a multi-stage hydraulic ram. Loads of about 15 cu. yds. are dumped into the chamber opening by a bulldozer. The bulldozer operator by a radio control causes the platen to move forward, compacting the first load to about one-half the original volume of the loose material. When the ram pressure reaches a predetermined pressure, the platen is automatically retracted. The operation is repeated until a predetermined weight has been received and compacted.
