Publication number: 20160281876Abstract: A system for securing a valve actuator to a valve assembly includes an actuator housing with a plurality of housing lugs protruding radially. A cylinder assembly is located within the actuator housing and has a horseshoe connector to engage a valve stem nub of a valve stem and transfer axial movement of the horseshoe connector to axial movement of the valve stem. A bonnet has a plurality of bonnet lugs protruding radially from the bonnet to define a plurality of bonnet slots therebetween, wherein each of the plurality of housing lugs are sized to pass axially through a respective one of the plurality of bonnet slots when the actuator housing is in a released position, the actuator housing being rotatable to a locked position such that the plurality of bonnet lugs prevent axial movement of the actuator housing in at least one direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2016Publication date: September 29, 2016Applicant: GE Oil & Gas Pressure Control LPInventors: Travis Kyle McEvoy, Robert Kevin Law, Keith M. Adams, Lloyd R. Cheatham

Publication number: 20160265686Abstract: A valve with a packing assembly can include a first stem packing circumscribing a first portion of a valve stem, forming a seal between the valve stem and a valve body assembly, and being located in the second bore portion. A first packing retainer can have a collar that limits axial movement of the first stem packing and a first retainer body defining an inner cavity. A second stem packing can circumscribe a second portion of the valve stem and be located in the inner cavity of the first packing retainer. A second packing retainer can limit axial movement of the second stem packing. A piston member can be located axially between the first stem packing and the second stem packing, the piston member being moveable to apply axial force to one of the first stem packing and the second stem packing.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 20, 2016Publication date: September 15, 2016Applicant: GE Oil & Gas Pressure Control LPInventors: Keith Adams, Travis McEvoy, Andrew Browne Helvenston, Lloyd Cheatham, Robert Kevin Law

Patent number: 9408028Abstract: A location sharing system and related processes across computer networks are provided that efficiently utilize resources by adjusting location determination techniques at client devices. A rule-based architecture including user-based heuristics facilitates location determination that is accurate while optimizing resource consumption. Current interest in or other behavior associated with a target user or requesting user can be used in selecting a location determination protocol at the client device. An accurate portrayal of a user's location can be provided efficiently by correlating interest to utilize more accurate but larger resource-intensive components when interest is higher and to utilize less accurate but lower resource-intensive components when interest is lower.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2014Date of Patent: August 2, 2016Inventor: Kevin Laws

Patent number: 9347585Abstract: A valve with a packing assembly includes a valve body assembly with a bore, a valve member moveable between an open position and a closed position, and a valve stem coupled to the valve member. A first stem packing circumscribes a portion of the valve stem, and is located in an upper bore portion of the bore. A first packing retainer has a collar that limits axial movement of the first stem packing, and also has a first retainer body defining an inner cavity. A second stem packing circumscribes a portion of the valve stem and is located in the inner cavity of the first packing retainer. A second packing retainer has a neck compressingly engaging the second stem packing, and a retainer shoulder that engages the first packing retainer. A retaining assembly is coupled with the valve body assembly for applying axial force to the second packing retainer.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2013Date of Patent: May 24, 2016Assignee: GE Oil & Gas Pressure Control LPInventors: Andrew Browne Helvenston, Robert Kevin Law, Mark Anthony Viator, Keith Adams, Rolando Farinas

Patent number: 8577910Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for generating visual media search results are provided. A search query in a first language is received. A plurality of languages are identified. It is determined whether a language should be selected by translating the search query into translated terms in the language, determining a score for each translated term measuring how common the translated term is, and using the scores to determine if the language should be selected. A second language is selected from the plurality of different languages by selecting the considered language if it should be selected and otherwise selecting the second language according to a criterion. A set of one or more search results are generated based on the search query and a translation of the search query into the second language. The results are ordered based on a quality of results statistic for the translated query.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2009Date of Patent: November 5, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Vanessa Hodge, Kevin Law, Radhika Malpani, Gaurav Garg

Patent number: 8577909Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for generating visual media search results are provided. A first visual media search query in a first language is received. One or more bilingual refinements are identified for the first visual media search query. Each bilingual refinement associates an initial query in the first language and a subsequent query in a different second language. The initial query is equivalent to the first visual media search query. The subsequent query is a translation of the initial query in the second language. The subsequent query followed the initial query in a series of queries received from a user in a session. A first bilingual refinement is selected from the one or more bilingual refinements according to a first criterion. A set of visual media search results is generated based on the first search query and the selected first bilingual refinement's associated subsequent search query.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2009Date of Patent: November 5, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Vanessa Hodge, Kevin Law, Gaurav Garg, Radhika Malpani

Patent number: 8572109Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for generating visual media search results are provided. A first search query in a first language and a second search query in a different second language are received. The first search query is a translation of the second search query into the second language. A quality of results statistic for the second search query is obtained. A final search query is created using the first search query, the second search query, and the quality of results statistic. The final search query is sent to a search engine and a final group of visual media search results responsive to the final search query are received from the search engine, where visual media search results in the final group that are responsive to the second visual media search query are assigned a ranking based in part on the quality of result statistic.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2009Date of Patent: October 29, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Vanessa Hodge, Kevin Law, Gaurav Garg, Radhika Malpani
