Publication number: 20240071634Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing acute incident risks for dementia patients are provided. Benefits of the systems and methods include reducing healthcare costs, improving patient and caregiver outcomes and reducing caregiver burden. A server system analyzes data related to a dementia patient and the corresponding caregivers (e.g., family member, paid caregiver, physician) and calculates an acute incident risk. Based on the acute incident risk, the server system determines patient therapies to reduce the acute incident risk and also identifies caregiver education to improve the caregiver belief state, which reduces the acute incident risk. The system periodically re-calculates the acute incident risk and identifies patient therapies and caregiver education and motivation to further reduce or maintain the acute incident risk.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Dirk Soenksen, Kevin Liang, Mark Wrenn, Tonia Vojtkofsky

Publication number: 20240003584Abstract: A method is provided for controlling a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The method includes measuring a temperature and controlling a compressor of the HVAC system. The temperature is measured by a temperature sensor located between a metering device of the HVAC system and an evaporator coil of the HVAC system. The temperature is representative of a refrigerant temperature. The refrigerant temperature is a temperature of a refrigerant fluid flowing from the metering device to the evaporator coil. The compressor is controlled by control circuitry that is configured to perform the controlling in a dehumidify mode based, at least in part, on a value of a humidity parameter of air of an airflow through an evaporator coil and a reheat coil, where the value is determined using the temperature.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2023Publication date: January 4, 2024Inventors: Joel A. Willhite, Qianghua Q. Zhou, Wei Luo, Chad Daniel Bowers, Min Kevin Liang, Justen Grubb, Lane A. Liudahl

Publication number: 20230395342Abstract: Thermal Cut-Off (TCO) devices suitable for surface mount reflow processes are disclosed. The TCO devices are modeled after existing lead attached TCO device structures, but are improved with compact and miniaturized structures suitable for surface mount reflow operations. The arm and base terminals include pads for surface mount reflow. The base molds are designed for receiving the PTC device, bimetal device, and arm terminal feature and may operate using either a single base terminal or a multi-part base terminal. Multiple cover designs are disclosed to lower the heat capacity of the upper plate of the TCO device relative to the base terminal. A TCO device featuring an integrated arm and bimetal device terminal is also disclosed, with an updated base portion to support the integrated terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 6, 2020Publication date: December 7, 2023Applicant: Dongguan Littelfuse Electronics Company LimitedInventors: Werner Johler, Cheng HU, Jianming BU, Kevin Liang

Publication number: 20230384489Abstract: A system includes a source configured to emit partially spatially coherent light and a metasurface located proximate to a light emitting surface of the source, where the metasurface is configured to modify at least one property of the emitted light. Modifiable properties include phase, amplitude, directionality, far field profile, and polarization. The metasurface may be passive or active. An active metasurface may be controlled using an input such as applied voltage, temperature, and mechanical force. The system may be configured to provide coherent illumination.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2023Publication date: November 30, 2023Inventors: Tanya Malhotra, Anurag Tyagi, James Ronald Bonar, Quang Minh Quyen Nguyen, Kevin Liang, Anthony Nickolas Vamivakas

Patent number: 11807953Abstract: An electroplating device for electroplating an alloy comprising a plurality of metals on a workpiece includes an electroplating bath, a plurality of groups of anodes, and a power supply device. The electroplating bath contains an electroplating solution in which the workpiece as a cathode is at least partially immersed. Each of the plurality of groups of anodes provides at least one metal required for electroplating. An electrolytic potential of at least one metal of each group of anodes is distinct from that of at least one metal of any other group of anodes. The power supply device adjusts the proportion of current transmitted to each group of anodes according to the proportion of the metals in the alloy.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2022Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignees: Tyco Electronics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Tyco Electronics (Suzhou) Ltd.Inventors: Daiqiong (Diana) Zhang, Chunyan (Cherie) Zhou, Dongqing (Gates) Peng, Yuelin (Kevin) Liang, Zhongxi Huang
