  • Patent number: 9135590
Abstract: A completion time is obtained for each phase of a plurality of phases in a user story. Completion times of phases are obtained for each user story of a plurality of user stories. A maximum completion time, a minimum completion time and a composite metric are determined for phases common among the user stories. A chart displays the phases common among the user stories over the sprint time period. Sprint time period is used to define a first axis and phase completion time is used to define a second axis. A vertical bar is displayed for each respective phase, parallel with the second axis, having a top end on the second axis based on a maximum completion time for the respective phase and a bottom end on the second axis based on a minimum completion time.

  • Publication number: 20120298324
Abstract: A method and a device for manufacturing a cover including multiple metal layers are provided. The method includes: injecting a second metal in liquid form which is a metal different from a first metal layer onto a semi-finished cover disposed in a mold and formed of the first metal layer, so as to form a second metal layer on the first metal layer; and pressing the second metal layer with a pressure in the mold. Not only does the multi-layer metal cover manufactured according to the method have the strength and elasticity of a composite metal, but also subsequent surface treatment may be performed on the metal cover as required, such as anodizing surface treatment, and corrosion resistant treatment, to further improve the adhesiveness between metal layers, the strength and the corrosion resistance, and make the design of the cover more flexible.

  • Patent number: 8170844
Abstract: A method for estimating a probability of failure of a least-squares ambiguity decorrelation adjustment (LAMBDA) method is provided. The LAMBDA method is used for estimation of double difference carrier phase integer ambiguity. A plurality of condition sets are selected. Each condition set comprises a probability of failure (Pboot-fail) for a boot-strap method of estimation of the double difference carrier phase integer ambiguity, a number of space vehicles (Nsv), and a ratio test tolerance for the LAMBDA method. A plurality of Monte Carlo simulations are run on the plurality of condition sets to obtain a plurality of result sets. Each result set comprises a probability of lambda fail (P?-fail) and a probability of lambda reject (P?-reject) for one condition set of the plurality of condition sets. A lookup table is created with the plurality of result sets. A value of P?-fail for given values of P?-reject, Pboot-fail, and Nsv is estimated through employment of the lookup table.

  • Publication number: 20110155360
Abstract: A surface mountable heat sink apparatus for use with surface mount electronic components comprises a heat dissipating body and a plurality of solderable feet complying with Surface Mounting Technology (SMT). The heat dissipating body and the solderable feet are made of different materials and of unitary construction. The solderable feet project partially beyond one edge of the heat dissipating body. The surface mount heat sink apparatus and surface mount electronic component are touchlessly sandwiched and simultaneously soldered onto the solder drain pads on the printed circuit board. Heat dissipated from the surface mount electronic component is conductively transferred to the heat sink body through the solder drain pad, printed circuit board and solderable feet, and finally rejected to surroundings thereafter. Like all the SMT electronic components, the surface mount heat sink apparatus can be placed onto the printed circuit board manually or automatically by a pick-&-place automation equipment.

  • Publication number: 20110149149
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing or substantially eliminating image flicker are provided. The method includes capturing a frame from a video data stream from a monitored region at a frame capture rate where the monitored region is illuminated by a lighting system with a predetermined cycle variation, determining a minimum common multiple of the frame capture rate and the cycle variation, determining a number of frames captured within the determined minimum common multiple of the frame capture rate and the cycle variation, and measuring accumulation at a multiple of the determined number of frames. Measuring the accumulation at a multiple of the determined number of frames substantially eliminates image flicker in the video data stream.
