Abstract: A chumming device is provided, comprising a container member defining an interior chamber adapted to contain a chum substance, and a dispersion mechanism operably engaged with the container member and configured cooperate with the container member to receive a flow of water thereby. The water flow provides an associated hydrodynamic force at least about the dispersion mechanism. The dispersion mechanism is further configured to cooperate with the container member such that the chum substance is extracted from the interior chamber of the container member and introduced directly into the water flow via the dispersion mechanism in response only to the hydrodynamic force.
