  • Publication number: 20090268876
Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for facilitating the assessment of performance quality of an imaging system having a sensor subsystem. An imaging mode of operation of the imaging system is selected and at least one current set of digital image data of an imaging phantom device is acquired with the imaging system via the sensor subsystem. The currently acquired set of digital phantom image data is automatically compared to at least one previously acquired set of digital phantom image data representing a standard image of quality corresponding to the selected imaging mode of operation and the imaging phantom device to automatically determine if at least one sensor parameter of the sensor subsystem has changed.

  • Publication number: 20090268953
Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for facilitating the automatic adjustment of image parameter settings in an imaging system having a sensor subsystem. An imaging mode of operation of the imaging system is selected and entered. A current set of digital image data of an imaging phantom device is acquired with the imaging system via the sensor subsystem and processed to generate a current set of image-processed data using the imaging system. The current set of image-processed data is automatically compared to a previous set of image-processed data or a target set of specifications, representing a standard of image quality and corresponding to the selected imaging mode of operation. At least one image parameter setting may be automatically adjusted to account for a difference in at least one image parameter between the current set of image-processed data and the previous set of image processed data or target set of specifications.

  • Patent number: 7599538
Abstract: A method and systems for capturing digital intra-oral images, while automatically determining a location of an intra-oral sensor placed within a mouth of a patient, is disclosed. A spatial frame-of-reference is established with respect to teeth within the mouth of the patient. An intra-oral digital imaging sensor is placed within the mouth of the patient adjacent to at least one tooth within the mouth that is to be imaged using the intra-oral sensor. Spatial location information is automatically generated such that the spatial location information defines how the intra-oral sensor is placed with respect to the spatial frame-of-reference. A digital image of the at least one tooth is acquired using the intra-oral sensor and the spatial location information is automatically associated with the acquired digital image.

  • Publication number: 20090212107
Abstract: A system and methods for facilitating the automatic distribution of acquired images within a medical facility. Means for displaying digital images within two or more operatories is provided. Means for scanning scannable image media is also provided, to read an encoded identifier and a captured image from each of the scannable image media. The encoded identifier of any given scannable image medium is associated with one operatory of the medical facility. Means for transmitting a read image to the means for displaying digital images within a particular operatory in dependence on the read associated identifier is further provided.

  • Publication number: 20090080720
Abstract: A kit for capturing a first primary image and a second backup image from a single exposure. The kit may include a first imaging source and a second imaging source. The kit may further include an attachment mechanism for attaching the first imaging source to the second imaging source such that first imaging source and the second imaging source may be simultaneously exposed to capture a first primary image and a second backup image, respectively, of a same anatomy. The kit may further include a sterilization sheath to cover both the first imaging source and the second imaging source when the first imaging source and the second imaging source are attached and being used to capture images.

  • Publication number: 20090025016
Abstract: Methods of populating a document with digital information content. An information management software application is launched on a computer-based platform and a data drop window or a base format document is opened such that digital files, having digital data content, may be easily dragged and dropped (or pasted) into data holder locations of the data drop window or the base format document. A third-party document generation application is launched on the computer-based platform such that the third-party document generation application is able to communicate with the information management software application, for example, through an API, or the third-party document generation application is able to open and save the base format document, such that a third-party document, that is populated with the digital data content, may be automatically generated.

  • Publication number: 20090024309
Abstract: A system and method for tracking and monitoring vehicles on a roadway. RFID tags are positioned along the roadway and may be interrogated by vehicles equipped with an RFID scanner and a transceiver as the vehicles encounter the RFID tags along the roadway. The RFID tag information received by the RFID scanner is transmitted by the transceiver to a roadside repeater station which in turn sends the RFID tag information, as well as other identifying information, to a remote central tracking station. The remote central tracking station processes the RFID tag information and other information to determine a current position of a corresponding vehicle. Driver ranking profiles may be generated for drivers of vehicles and stored in a database in the central tracking station. The driver ranking profiles are used to restrict drivers in certain ways.

  • Publication number: 20080130966
Abstract: A method of image acquisition notification is disclosed. A visual and/or audible indication is provided to a user of an application to indicate to the user that image acquisition has occurred. At least one digital image is acquired using an imaging modality and the image is automatically transmitted in an image acquisition notification message, via a network, in response to acquiring the at least one digital image. The image acquisition notification message is automatically received in an application running on a computer-based platform that is operationally connected to the network and is automatically displayed once received. A user of the application may select an iconic representation embedded within the displayed message to initiate displaying of the at least one acquired digital image associated with the notification message.

  • Publication number: 20080129487
Abstract: A system and method for managing at least one characteristic of a domain occupied by individuals. Each of a plurality of individuals is tracked in real time with respect to location within the domain by periodically or continuously acquiring location information for each of the individuals. The acquired location information and resultant tracking information may be used to identify traffic patterns of the individuals within the domain and/or to identify clusters of individuals within the domain. The identified traffic patterns and/or clusters may be used to adapt at least one managed characteristic of the domain. Furthermore, the resultant tracking information may be used to estimate waiting times for events within the domain and/or provide signals or messages to individuals within the domain.

  • Patent number: 6711564
Abstract: A method and system for locating data in another application, window or data set. The particular data form (application, window or data set) is located using search criteria derived from a first active data form (application, window or data set). If the particular data form is located in an unloaded (not running) application, window or data set the requisite data form (e.g., application, window or data set) is launched and made active. The necessary data is provided to the application, window or data set to retrieve the particular window or data set of the data form. If the particular data form is located in a loaded application, window or data set, the necessary data from the first data form is bridged into the loaded application, window or data set.
