  • Patent number: 5684692
Abstract: A two-dimensional digitizing system comprises a plurality of overlaid digitizer tablets. Each tablet includes two wire grid circuits oriented at right angles to each other for the X and Y directions, with each circuit having conductive grid structures. In those circumstances where two panels generate position signals, a controller verifies which of the competing position signals is correct. The digitizer is also characterized by a capability to operate at large stylus-tablet separations, allowing for a multi-layered laminate tablet of substantial thickness. The present system is readily adapted for applications such as a cloth cutting in which large surface areas are required and in which the digitizer tablet circuitry must be located remote from a cutting surface.

  • Patent number: 5491389
Abstract: A video display having deflection correction comprising a cathode ray tube with a deflection coil mounted on the cathode ray tube for generation of a raster having horizontal line length variations which describe a generally sinusoidally shaped raster edge. A deflection amplifier is coupled to the deflection coil for generating a deflection current therein. A modulator is coupled to the deflection coil for generating a corrective current therein responsive to a corrective signal. A corrective signal generator for generating said corrective signal having a generally sinusoidal shape is coupled to the modulator for raster edge correction.

  • Patent number: 5444338
Abstract: A video display having raster correction comprises a cathode ray tube with a deflection coil mounted thereon for raster generation. A deflection amplifier is coupled to the deflection coil for generating a deflection current therein. A corrective waveform modulator is coupled to the deflection amplifier for generating a first corrective current in the deflection coil. An auxiliary coil is mounted on the cathode ray tube for raster correction. An auxiliary coil drive amplifier is coupled to the auxiliary coil for generating a second corrective current in the auxiliary coil. A first corrective signal is coupled to the waveform modulator for generating raster correction at a first raster edge and a second corrective signal is coupled to said auxiliary coil drive amplifier for generating raster correction at an edge opposite the first raster edge.

  • Patent number: 5418705
Abstract: A first resonant retrace circuit is operable for generating a first voltage signal and a second resonant retrace circuit coupled to the first resonant retrace circuit is operable for generating a second voltage signal summed with the first voltage signal. An auxiliary winding of a flyback transformer in the first resonant retrace circuit generates a first feedback pulse signal representative of the first voltage signal. A regulator senses the summed first and second voltage signals and generates a second feedback pulse signal representative of the summed first and second voltage signals. The second resonant retrace means is responsive to the regulator. A resistive summing junction combines the first and second feedback pulse signals to generate a composite feedback pulse signal. A voltage level is generated indicative of the energy in the composite feedback pulse signal.

  • Patent number: 5047698
Abstract: An ultor voltage power supply includes first and second transformer windings that are coupled in series for producing corresponding first and second flyback pulse voltages. A first protection circuit disables the generation of each of the pulse voltages when the amplitude of the first pulse voltage becomes excessive. A second protection circuit disables the generation of each of the pulse voltages when the amplitude of the second pulse voltage becomes excessive.
