  • Patent number: 11641411
Abstract: A technique of managing communications among multiple modules of a munition includes receiving, by a first module of the munition, a first set of messages from a second module of the munition. The first set of messages is received in a first protocol used for communicating among the modules of the munition over a computer network. The technique further includes translating, by an interface assembly of the first module, the first set of messages in the first protocol into a second set of messages in a second protocol. The second protocol is a native protocol of the first module and is different from the first protocol. The technique still further includes providing the second set of messages from the interface module to an operational component of the first module, the operational component then responding to the second set of messages for performing a function of the munition.

  • Patent number: 10744268
Abstract: A plunger rod system for syringes is provided. The system comprises at least one plunger and an associated rod for imparting force to the plunger. The rod comprises an end with a threaded member, and the threaded member comprises threads of a certain geometry that enable ease of installation of the rod within the plunger while also providing resistance to pull-out forces such as may be imparted when pulling or extracting the rod or plunger from a barrel.

  • Publication number: 20100154452
Abstract: The technology described herein provides a portable electric cooler for meat storage, tenderizing, and aging in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The portable electric cooler includes a first and second sets of low pressure coils coupled to a compressor and three-way solenoid valves in order to alternate in a timed pattern the refrigerant flow in order to allow one set of low pressure coils to defrost while the other set circulates the refrigerant. The cooler includes a temperature sensor. The cooler includes a humidity system having a sensor, a controller, a water reservoir, at least one air duct coupled to the water reservoir to channel humidified air drawn from the water reservoir through the refrigeration chamber, and a solenoid configured to direct the fresh outside air being pumped in, to only travel through a set of coils that currently is in the rest mode.

  • Publication number: 20090142458
Abstract: The technology described herein provides a device and methods for meat storage, tenderizing, and aging in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. A portable electric cooler is disclosed having first and second sets of low pressure coils coupled to a compressor and three-way solenoid valves in order to alternate in a timed pattern the refrigerant flow in order to allow one set of low pressure coils to defrost while the other set circulates the refrigerant. The cooler includes a temperature sensor, humidity sensor, and humidity controller to monitor and control temperature and humidity levels within the refrigeration chamber. The cooler also includes a pressurized water canister, a spray nozzle, and a pulse solenoid valve. The pulse solenoid valve is configured to discharge a mist through the spray nozzle into the refrigeration chamber as required to maintain a desired humidity.

  • Patent number: 5935074
Abstract: An analytical method for automatic tracing of a Doppler time-velocity waveform envelope. At the core of this algorithm is a maximum frequency detection mechanism which is based on searching for the highest frequency bin whose spectral amplitude exceeds a certain noise threshold. The method is based on a theoretical noise amplitude distribution in the video spectral domain. In particular, the method uses a precise model of the statistical distribution of the video spectral power of white noise to establish a threshold for maximum frequency detection. Input to the noise model is the average white noise level in the video spectral display, which can be computed using either of two analytical methods.
