  • Patent number: 11885181
Abstract: A ladder having a first box rail having a first side, and a second side extending perpendicularly from the first side. The first side having a first hole. The second side having a first hole in alignment with the first hole of the first side. The ladder having a second box rail, at least a portion of which is in parallel and spaced relation with the first box rail. The ladder comprises a first hollow tube disposed in the first box rail in alignment with the first hole of the first side and the first hole of the third side. The ladder comprises a bracket having a first bracket hole in alignment with the first hole of the first side. The ladder comprises a first fastener extending through the first hole of the third side, the first hollow tube, the first hole of the first side and the first hole of the bracket which attaches the bracket to the first box rail. • Patent number: 8286752
Abstract: A folding ladder assembly having a door, a frame, and a strut connecting the door and frame. The strut comprises a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first end of the strut is attached to the door via a strut stop bracket. The other end of the strut is attached to a stationary mounting plate, which is attached to the ladder opening frame. The strut is attached to the strut bracket via a strut standoff using an E-clip retaining ring. Optionally, the strut standoffs are riveted to the strut stop bracket and the stationary mounting plate. The strut stop bracket is optionally formed having a double bend to form two substantially parallel portions connected by a third non-parallel portion.

  • Patent number: 7044270
Abstract: A hook attachment for a ladder is provided and includes a pair of curved members, each of the curved members being formed in a tapered shape having a base portion of a first cross-sectional area and a tip portion of a second cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area. A cross-sectional area between the base portion and the tip portion decreases in a substantially continuous manner in a direction from the base portion to the tip portion.

  • Publication number: 20060000674
Abstract: A ladder includes a pair of opposing side rails and at least one attachment device configured to be attached to a fall arresting device. The opposing side rails have a plurality of steps disposed therebetween along substantially an entire length of the opposing side rails. The attachment device is configured to be attached to a fall arresting device and is substantially centrally disposed between the pair of opposing side rails. The attachment device is a plate, substantially parallel to a plane defined by the opposing side rails, that extends from one of the side rails to the other side rail. The ladder includes a pair of curved members respectively extending from the pair of opposing side rails at an upper distal end of the ladder. One of the attachment devices is positioned substantially centrally along a longitudinal axis of the ladder, and another of the attachment devices is positioned substantially proximate to the upper distal end of the ladder.

  • Publication number: 20050173194
Abstract: A knee brace for a ladder including a first flange and a second flange. The brace includes a web extending from the first flange and the second flange which together form a u-shaped cross-section. The brace includes a first portion that connects to a step. The brace includes a second portion which connects to the rail and terminates at a distance from a joint. The second portion's first and second flanges and web presenting three contact surfaces which connect to the rail and extend essentially in parallel with the rail and conforms with the rail to which the knee brace is attached so forces can be transferred therebetween. The first and second flanges contact a first rail flange and second rail flange, respectively, and the web contacts the web of the rail of u-shaped cross-section. The brace includes a first rivet extending through the first rail flange and first flange. The brace includes a second rivet extending through the second rail flange and the second flange adjacent the rail end.
