    Abstract: A method, non-transitory machine readable medium, and system are provided for configuring a storage device. In some embodiments, the method includes establishing, by a storage system, a near field communication (NFC) session with a mobile device. A first set of identifiers is sent from the storage system to the mobile device via the NFC session. The first set of identifiers is modified at the mobile device. The mobile device sends the modified set of identifiers to the storage system. The modified set of identifiers is then assigned to the storage system.
