  • Publication number: 20240146667
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intent-based orchestration using network parsimony trees. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a request for network services that comprises desired characteristics and performance parameters for the requested network services without information regarding specific hardware, hardware type, location, or network, a computing system might generate a request-based parsimony tree based on the desired characteristics and performance parameters. The computing system might access, from a datastore, a plurality of network-based parsimony trees that are each generated based on measured network metrics, might compare the request-based parsimony tree with each of one or more network-based parsimony trees to determine a fitness score for each network-based parsimony tree, and might identify a best-fit network-based parsimony tree based on the fitness scores.

  • Publication number: 20220015620
Abstract: Endoscopes include a shaft having a diameter extending about a longitudinal axis to a distal housing. An image sensor is carried by the distal housing, and a channel extends through the shaft and distal housing. A distal portion of the channel is adjustable or curved to accommodate introduction of a tool while maintaining a reduced shaft diameter. In some embodiments, a diagonal dimension of the image sensor when combined with a channel diameter is greater than a shaft diameter. In some embodiments, the distal housing is flexible to accommodate passage of a straight tool through a curved distal portion of a working channel. In some embodiments, a curved distal portion of a working channel may be reoriented to deflect a flexible tool.

  • Patent number: 11096560
Abstract: A disposable cover for use with an endoscope includes an elongated sheath having and having an open proximal end and a closed distal end. A channel extends along a central axis of the sheath from the open proximal end to the closed distal end, and the channel is configured to accommodate insertion of an endoscope. A proximal region of the sheath is formed as a rigid thin-wall sleeve and a distal region of the sheath is formed as a flexible thin-wall sleeve. The flexible thin-wall sleeve is configured to allow deflection of said distal region in cooperation with an articulating distal end of an endoscope.

  • Patent number: 9078665
Abstract: An energy delivery probe and method of using the energy delivery probe to treat a patient is provided herein. The energy delivery probe has at least one probe body having a longitudinal axis and at least a first trocar and a second trocar. Each trocar comprises at least two electrodes that are electrically insulated from each other, and each electrode is independently selectively activatable. An insulative sleeve is positioned in a coaxially surrounding relationship to each of the first trocar and the second trocar. The probe also has a switching means for independently activating at least one electrode. The method involves independently and selectively activating the first and second electrodes to form an ablation zone, then repeating the ablation by delivering energy to a second set of electrodes, producing one or more overlapping ablation zone, and eliminating the need to reposition the ablation probes.

  • Publication number: 20150001249
Abstract: An assembly and method of dispensing loose fill material from the interior of a container in which the loose fill material is originally packaged and/or transported. A spout body at least partially defining a material flow path is connected to an access opening formed in the container. An inlet on the body communicates with the flow path and is disposed through the access opening in receiving relation to the loose fill material. A flow regulating structure is movable from a closed position to an open position, thereby facilitating dispensing of the loose fill material through the spout. A suspension device may be attached to an exterior of the container to mount it on a support structure, thereby facilitating gravity flow of the loose fill material from the container interior, through and out of the outlet, to any of a plurality of intended locations.

  • Publication number: 20060193486
Abstract: A wind break device for a microphone includes an airflow diverter and a flow separation edge partially bordering a microphone end of the airflow diverter. The microphone zone located between the flow separation edge and is part of the recirculation zone. The microphone is located in the microphone zone. Airflow separates from one of the airflow diverter or the flow separation edge. The separated airflow is directed as one of recirculating airflow or a major airflow and the recirculating airflow is directed into the recirculation zone. The major airflow is directed over the microphone zone and the recirculation zone to reduce the level of pressure fluctuations experienced by the microphone in the microphone zone.
