Publication number: 20240121233Abstract: The present embodiments relate to systems and methods for automatic sign in upon account signup. Particularly, the present embodiments can utilize a federated login approach for automatic sign in upon account signup for a cloud infrastructure. Specifically, the signup and sign in service (also known as SOUP) and an identity provider portal can be configured such that the nodes are aware of each other as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) partners. After new account registration, the signup service can redirect the user browser to a cloud infrastructure console to start with a federated login flow, where a sign in service can issue a SAML authentication request, and redirects it to signup service. Responsive to validating the browser using a SAML authentication process, the browser can be automatically signed into the new account and allowed access the account relating to the cloud infrastructure service.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2023Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Chuang Wang, Girish Nagaraja, Ghazanfar Ahmed, Divya Jain, Weisong Lin, Zheng Guo, Roberto Anthony Franco, Philip Kevin Newman

Patent number: 11956230Abstract: A password-less authentication system and method include registering a contactless card of a client with an application service and binding the contactless card to one or more client devices. The contactless card advantageously stores a username and a dynamic password. Accesses by the client to the application service may be made using any client device, and authentication of the accesses may be performed by any client device that includes a contactless card interface and can retrieve the username and dynamic password pair from the contactless card. By storing the username on the card, rather than requiring user input, application security improved because access to and knowledge of login credentials is limited. In addition, the use of a dynamic password reduces the potential of malicious access.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Inventors: Lara Mossler, Kaitlin Newman, Kevin Osborn

Publication number: 20230359011Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-color imaging using a microscope system. The microscope system can have a relatively small size as compared to an average microscope system. The microscope system can include various components configured to reduce or eliminate image artifacts such as chromatic aberrations and/or noise from stray light that can occur during multi-color imaging. The components can be configured to reduce or eliminate the image artifacts, and/or noise without substantially changing the size of the microscope system.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2023Publication date: November 9, 2023Applicant: Inscopix, Inc.Inventors: Mark TRULSON, Koen VISSCHER, Kevin NEWMAN

Publication number: 20230258787Abstract: The subject disclosure relates to techniques for validating a lidar system based on an illumination profile. A process of the disclosed technology can include steps of receiving data associated with a lidar system comprising a laser-based light source, a receiver, and a lens, the lidar system being configured to project laser illumination to scan a field of view, receiving target data representing a target area within the field of view, receiving environmental variables associated with the field of view, determining an amount of light across the field of view based on the data associated with the lidar system, and environmental variables, and generating an illumination profile based on the amount of light. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2022Publication date: August 17, 2023Inventors: Stephanie Hsu, Kevin Newman, Hui Li

Publication number: 20230192142Abstract: A method is provided for offloading autonomous vehicle (AV) data to a download pole. The AV may include a transceiver. The download pole may include a transceiver. The method may include identifying, by the AV, the download pole in a parking spot that is close to the AV. The method may also include establishing short range wireless link between the AV and the download pole. The method may also include positioning the AV so that the transceiver of the AV is aligned with the transceiver of the download pole based on instructions received over the Bluetooth connection from the download pole. The method may further include establishing a first link between the transceiver of the AV and the transceiver of the download pole.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 4, 2022Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Min Wang, Ryan Suess, Hongen Tu, Kevin Newman

Publication number: 20230184900Abstract: The present technology is directed to validating a lidar system based on an asymmetric illumination pattern. More specifically, the present technology is generally related to determining a positioning error between a laser-based light source and a lens in a lidar system based on the asymmetric illumination pattern. The present technology can project the light source through the lens adjacent to the light source, receive an illumination pattern representing a distribution of light intensity across the field of view, compare the illumination pattern with a set of illumination patterns to determine a matching illumination pattern that is substantially corresponding to the illumination pattern, and determine whether the matching illumination pattern is within a predetermined range of the set of illumination patterns.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2021Publication date: June 15, 2023Inventors: Kevin Newman, Hui Li
