  • Publication number: 20250254850
Abstract: A fan unit for improved airflow within a display assembly is provided. A common housing forms a ducted passageway for exhaust from fans thereat. An upper portion of the common housing includes openings, each aligned with an intake of a respective one of the fans for ingesting airflow. A forward portion of the common housing forms, at least in part, an exit for the exhaust. A rear wall extends along and from a rear edge of the upper portion to and along an underlying surface of the display assembly when the fan unit is installed. The rear edge forms a wave shape defining peaks in the upper portion for the openings, and a valley between adjacent peaks. The rear wall forms the wave shape and thereby defines peaks, each accommodating one of the fans and a valley between adjacent peaks.

  • Patent number: 12378951
Abstract: The invention provides energy recovery or heat pump system comprising a plurality of Shape-Memory Alloy (SMAs) or Negative Thermal Expansion (NTE) elements arranged to define a core and housed in an immersion chamber. A first fluid can be introduced into the chamber provides a first temperature change to activate the core from a first state to a second state and a second fluid is introduced at a second temperature to activate the core from the second state to the first state. A controlled gas is inserted into the chamber between the first fluid and the second fluid. The advantage of the invention is that increased efficiency and power production from the SMA/NTE engine is achieved, or increased CoP within the SMA/NTE heat pump. By eliminating energy destruction via the mixing of fluids, the power production cycle can either operate faster, which means the same quantity of SMA/NTE material can produce more power, or a lower number of NTE strands can be used to create the same power that allow mixing to occur.

  • Patent number: 12322912
Abstract: A cable connector for counting a number of plug-in events and preventing further plug in attempts after a threshold number of plug-in events have occurred. An inner sleeve is located inside an outer sleeve, and is designed to move relative to the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve further includes a tab on an outer surface of the inner sleeve. A gear wheel is located inside the outer sleeve and perpendicular to the inner sleeve and has a number of gear teeth. A toggle plug counter rotates the gear wheel one tooth in response to a plug-in action of the cable counter. When the gear wheel rotates to a point where the tab aligns with a notch in the gear wheel an inner spring at the opposite end of the inner sleeve causes the inner sleeve to move through the gear wheel such that further plugging action becomes difficult.
