  • Publication number: 20240144238
Abstract: In an automated method for authorizing an automated service, a service facilitation system receives a service from an account holder user device associated with a card account and a card account vicinity card. The service request identifies an automated service machine (ASM) and a service to be provided by the ASM. The service facilitation system transmits a service request notification to the requested ASM. The service facilitation receives from the ASM, card authentication information that includes an encrypted authentication block received by the ASM from a presented vicinity card. The service facilitation system uses the card authentication information to verify that the presented vicinity card is the card account vicinity card and determines a service authorization result for the requested service. The service facilitation then transmits a service authorization response based, at least in part, on the service authorization result.

  • Publication number: 20240135764
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for providing secure access to a locker of a locker system based on a token that includes token data and a message authentication code (MAC) to authenticate the token data. The token data includes at least the unique locker identifier for the locker. The MAC can be generated using a secret key. The secret key can be obtained based on a unique derivation key associated with a master key. The locker system can determine whether the token is valid based on the token data, the MAC, and the secret key. In response to a determination that the token is valid, the locker system can send a signal to unlock the locker.

  • Patent number: 11961089
Abstract: Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media. A web browser of a device may receive selection of a uniform resource locator (URL). An operating system may download an application from an application server based on the URL. The application may identify a plurality of applications installed on the device and select a first institution corresponding to a first application. The application may receive a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with the first institution and transmit the cryptogram to an authentication server. The application may receive an authentication result specifying the authentication server decrypted the cryptogram. The web browser may receive, based on the decryption of the cryptogram, an account number, an expiration date associated with the account number, and a card verification value (CVV) associated with the account number. The web browser may provide the account number, expiration date, and CVV to a server associated with the application.

  • Patent number: 11956230
Abstract: A password-less authentication system and method include registering a contactless card of a client with an application service and binding the contactless card to one or more client devices. The contactless card advantageously stores a username and a dynamic password. Accesses by the client to the application service may be made using any client device, and authentication of the accesses may be performed by any client device that includes a contactless card interface and can retrieve the username and dynamic password pair from the contactless card. By storing the username on the card, rather than requiring user input, application security improved because access to and knowledge of login credentials is limited. In addition, the use of a dynamic password reduces the potential of malicious access.

  • Publication number: 20240113881
Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for authorizing limited user access to resources of other users using NFTs. A resource access system may be used to authorize access. The system may receive a first request for performing an action using a resource associated with a first user, and in response to the first request, obtain an encrypted payload from a blockchain node of a blockchain. The system may transmit a command to the second device to decrypt the encrypted payload using the second cryptography-based storage application and receive the access token and the one or more access parameters from the second device. In response to determining that metadata of the first request matches the one or more access parameters of the access token, the system may transmit a request to perform the action.

  • Publication number: 20240104549
Abstract: Disclosed are a system and methods enabling updating of a card number of a payment card and thereby reissuing the payment card utilizing a reissue application associated with the payment card. The reissue application, when executed communicates with a service provider that manages the payment card. The payment card includes processing circuitry and a rewriteable visual display. Using cryptographic techniques, the reissue application and payment card are authenticated to the service provider. Upon verification, an updated card number is obtained and provided via near-field communication to the payment card. In response to the update payment card number received from the reissue application, the rewriteable visual display on the payment card is updated with the updated card number. Other information may also be presented on the rewriteable visual display of the payment card based on user preferences.
