    Abstract: The present invention provides methods of diagnosing autoimmune disorders selected from the group consisting of Sjögren's Syndrome and lupus in a subject based on detecting a difference between the subject and normal individuals in the levels of individual antibody classes and/or subclasses that are specific for Tf-like antigens. The present invention also provide methods for treating autoimmune disorders selected from the group consisting of Sjögren's Syndrome and lupus in a subject comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a Tf-like antigen or an antibody thereto.
