  • Patent number: 7816521
Abstract: The compound 3-ethyl-6-[3-(4-morpholinyl)propoxy]-1,2,4-benzotriazine 1,4-dioxide and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof. A method of treating cancer in a subject is also described in which 3-ethyl-6-[3-(4-morpholinyl)propoxy]-1,2,4-benzotriazine 1,4-dioxide or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof is administered to tumor cells in a hypoxic environment. Also described is a method of radiosensitising in a subject tumor cells of solid tumors in hypoxic conditions by administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition containing 3-ethyl-6-[3-(4-morpholinyl)propoxy]-1,2,4-benzotriazine 1,4-dioxide or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof in an amount sufficient to produce radiosensitivity in the tumor cells, and subjecting the tumor cells to radiation.

  • Patent number: 7794027
Abstract: A lifting mechanism for a storage bin is positioned in a cabinet having a countertop. The lifting mechanism has a base adapted to be supported in the cabinet, a moveable member operably connected to the base, a support member connected to the moveable member, and a storage bin supported by the support member. The moveable member is moveable between a first position, wherein the storage bin is adapted to be positioned within the cabinet, and a second position wherein the storage bin is raised such that the storage bin is adapted to be positioned out of the cabinet. When the storage bin is raised, a top of the storage bin is adapted to be positioned proximate the countertop.

  • Publication number: 20100122513
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for the application of zipper segments to opposite sides of a flat, form cut cardboard, paper or plastic card using double-sided adhesive tape. The card receives double-sided tape, and then zipper profiles are secured to the double-sided tape. Alternately, the zipper profiles and double-sided tape may be joined together and then applied to the card. The card is then folded and used for the packing of pieces of chewing gum or similar applications.

  • Publication number: 20090299184
Abstract: Methods systems and system components for optimizing contrast resolution of an imaging or sensing system utilizing multiple channels of broadband data associated with an array of transducers. Channels or data are filtered by passing the channels of data through finite impulse response (FIR) filters on each channel. The filters each have multiple taps having tap weights pre-calculated as a function of distance of the array from an object that energy is being transmitted to or reflected from. The weights are pre-computed through a deterministic equation based on an a priori system model.
