  • Patent number: 8453988
Abstract: A track clip hanger assembly is composed of two parts that are mated together in a slidable manner to attach the assembly to a hanging ceiling track. Each of the two track clip hanger parts include an arrangement for mating one part to the other and each of the two parts include an arrangement for attaching the assembly to a ceiling track such that the assembly hangs from the bottom of the track when the two parts are in the mated position and the two parts of the track clip hanger assembly are mated in such a manner that the two parts will not accidentally come apart or un-mate. The track clip hanger assembly is designed to allow an electronic device to be attached to it so that the device can not accidentally become un-attached.

  • Patent number: 6822571
Abstract: A load cell mounting assembly for a bed. The bed includes a base unit. Two pairs of lift arms are pivotally attached to the base unit. Extending between each pair of lift arms is a torque bar. A frame is secured to the torque bars by a plurality of torque bar mounting brackets. Coupled to each torque bar are a number of load cells. The load cells are electrically connected to a control unit that is configured to receive signals from the load cells and to determine patient information from the load cell signals. When the bed is in its lowest position, the load cells engage the floor and the bed is supported only by the load cells.

  • Publication number: 20020070867
Abstract: A patient movement detection device is provided comprising a plurality of load cell disks, beams, or columns placed under a support member of a patient support device. The load cells are connected to a processing unit by a plurality of transmission cables. The processing unit is connected to a peripheral communication device. A method of detection of movement of a patient is provided comprising the steps of generating a signal by a load cell disk or beam when a change in a patient's center of gravity occurs on the patient support device, transmitting the signal to a processing unit, and further transmitting the signal to the peripheral communication device.
