Abstract: A method of improving crop residue decay in a field by providing a tillage implement having a frame and a plurality of tillage tool assemblies operably supported by the frame and adjacently spaced therealong, each of the plurality of tillage tool assemblies having first and second rotatable interlocking members, each of the first and second rotatable interlocking members having first and second tillage tools connected thereto arranged in an opposing angular orientation such that the first and second tillage tools of adjacently spaced tillage tool assemblies are angled outwardly toward one another.

Abstract: A tillage implement adapted to be towed by a tractor. The tillage implement having on-the-go angle adjustable disc blades which enables the farmer to vary the amount of crop residue left on the surface of the soil. The implement is comprised of a main frame, a ground wheel assembly operably and pivotally connected to the main frame, a first actuator for pivotally raising and lower the ground wheel assembly with respect to the main frame. The tillage implement further comprising a plurality of disc blade assemblies, the disc blade assemblies arranged as a disc gang. The disc gang being pivotally connected to the main frame such that a second actuator can act to raise and lower the disc gang with respect to the main frame. Each of the disc blade assemblies having first and second disc blades rotatably mounted on disc blade axles fixed to first and second interlocking members.

Abstract: A tillage implement with on-the-go angle and depth controlled discs. The toolbar upon which the discs are mounted is pivotally secured to the wheeled implement frame assembly and may be hydraulically pivoted to raise or lower the discs relative to the frame assembly. In addition, the discs are secured to the toolbar in pairs and are angularly adjustable with respect to each other, and to the direction of motion of the implement, through a pair of hydraulically actuated gears.
