  • Patent number: 11874751
Abstract: In an approach, a primary data center is provided including primary source and primary target database systems, where a function is activated causing the primary target database system to: include a copy of data and receive analysis queries from the primary source database system; and execute the analysis queries on data. A processor, in response to detecting a failure in the primary source database system: offloads queries intended for the primary source database system to a secondary source database system of a secondary data center also including a secondary target database system and a copy of data, where the function is deactivated. A processor, responsive to the primary target database system being available: receives analysis queries, processed by the secondary source database system, of the offloaded queries; and copies data to the secondary target database system. A processor causes the function to be activated in the secondary data center.

  • Patent number: 11669535
Abstract: Creating at a target database system, a target table and a history table each having a set of attributes of a source table in addition to at least one time attribute, wherein the time attribute of a record indicates the time when the record is valid. Receiving a request for applying a change of the source table to the target table. The request comprises a time value generated by the source database system indicating a time of the change. The change to the target table and the time value may be assigned to the time attribute of the current version and previous version of the record. The previous version of the record may be stored in the history table. The target table and the history table may be used to process a redirected query comprising a selection criterion on the time attribute.

  • Publication number: 20140169025
Abstract: A linear light module having an optical coupling element and a light pipe is described. The optical coupling element receives light emitted by multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) having different emission wavelengths and couples the light efficiently to a linear light pipe. The light from the LEDs is efficiently mixed by the optical coupling element and the light pipe to produce a linear light output that is uniform in color and intensity. Diffusers can be used with the optical coupling element and light pipe at various locations to further enhance the uniformity of the emitted light.

  • Publication number: 20050040947
Abstract: A system and method of discerning human intrusion from animal presence without compromising sensitivity to human intruders exhibiting low intensity infrared signatures. At least four infrared sensing elements are arranged with at least one horizontal pair and at least one vertical pair, such as within a quad-sensing element device. To generate an intrusion alert in a pet-immune mode, simultaneous changes in infrared energy must be registered in at least two vertically adjacent detection zones spanning two tiers of sensing elements, corresponding to detecting a standing or semi-standing human intruder. Intrusion is generated in a non-pet-immune detection mode in response to registering sufficient infrared activity within any one or more individual detection zones. The focal lengths of the lens elements and position of the lens tiers are configured to produce a vertical separation of detection tiers sufficient to prevent a pet from simultaneously occupying space in two vertically adjacent detection zones.

  • Patent number: 6302327
Abstract: A system and method for controlled rate freezing and storage of thermolabile substances. The system includes a storage unit for receiving product stored within a bag and an overlying protective canister associated with a robotic arm and reading device which places the canister in the preserving environment. A control system, driven by a computer monitors the ingress, egress and storage location and particularized profiles of the articles being placed in storage.
