Abstract: A composition for application to a surface of skin includes from 0.1% to 1% by weight of at least one antimicrobial agent for disrupting a microbial cell, from 0.025% to 0.2% by weight of sodium gluconate as a micro-preservative potentiator also for disrupting a microbial cell, from 0.5% to 8% by weight of ethylhexyl isononanoate as an emollient for moisturizing a surface of skin, and from 0.005% to 0.04% by weight of a hyaluronic complex for hydrating the surface of skin. The hyaluronic complex includes a combination of hyaluronic acid, a salt derivative of hyaluronic acid, phenoxyethanol and water.

The body has a predefined geometry adapted to seal the flute, wherein the body is flexible and the cross sectional area of the body in a direction perpendicular to the flute axis is larger than the cross sectional area of the flute the sealing element is designed to seal.

Abstract: A composition for providing enhanced skin appearance, particularly in terms of providing the appearance of reduced dryness and flakiness for an extended period of time, is disclosed. The compositions include low levels of skin coloring agents, including self-tanning compounds, such as DHA and/or erythrulose, in a topical cosmetic base. The levels of self-tanning compounds utilized are lower than those typically found in self-tanning compositions. A method for enhancing skin appearance utilizing those compositions is also disclosed.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for applying to skin, an aqueous composition comprising one or more acid direct dyes and an organic solvent, wherein the composition has a pH of 2-6 and wherein the composition is free of anionic surfactants. The method also comprises applying the aqueous composition to the skin by spraying and further comprises rinsing the composition from skin with water.

Abstract: Compositions comprising one or more acid direct dyes and an organic solvent such as propylene carbonate are described. The compositions can be applied to untreated hair or to hair that has been previously dyed with an oxidative hair dye composition to restore color to the hair. The compositions for treating hair can have an oil phase content of 5 percent by weight or less. The oil phase of the compositions can include a cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol. Methods of applying these compositions to hair are also described. The methods involve applying the composition to wet hair, allowing the composition to remain on the hair, and subsequently rinsing the composition from the hair with water. The hair may be treated with a conditioner before applying the compositions to the hair. The compositions can also be applied to the skin with or without rinsing to darken the skin tone.

Abstract: A personal hand or body washing formulation includes a cationic polymer and an anionic emollient which apparently combine to give a sparingly soluble complex, which is deposited on the skin and is difficult to remove. The deposition results in improved skin feel, including skin softness, skin moisture, skin hydration and skin smoothness. Skin appearance is approved as well. Exemplary cationic polymers include polyquaternium 6, while a preferred anionic emollient is sulfated castor oil. The complex also finds use as the conditioning agent of a cleansing and conditioning shampoo.
