  • Publication number: 20240382251
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes an electrode comprising a body including a first end and a second end. The body can extend along a longitudinal axis from the first end to the second end. The body can be configured for attachment to a spine of an expandable basket assembly such that the first end is oriented for contacting tissue when the expandable basket assembly is in an expanded configuration. The first end can comprise a conductive surface forming a generally triangular shape and an area that is greater than the second end. The body can converge from the first end to the second end along the longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20240374305
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a medical probe comprising a tubular shaft including a proximal end and a distal end and an expandable basket assembly coupled to the distal end of the tubular shaft. The basket assembly can comprise a first plurality of spines coupled to the distal end of the tubular shaft and a second plurality of spines, each spine of the second plurality of spines rotatably coupled to a respective spine of the first plurality of spines. The basket assembly can include a plurality of electrodes attached to at least the second plurality of spines and a push rod connected to a distal end of the second plurality of spines. The push rod can be configured to slide longitudinally between a proximal position and a distal position to transition the expandable basket assembly between an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240197392
Abstract: Examples presented herein illustrate various end effector designs with multiple spines that can expand from a collapsed configuration as the end effector traverses vasculature to an expanded configuration when the end effector is at a treatment site. In some examples, the end effector includes three frame loops which each include a pair of spines. At least one of the three frame-loops can have a bend at a distal end of the end effector so that the spines of the frame loop are not directly opposite each other with respect to the longitudinal axis. In some examples, the end effector includes an inner and an outer frame, each having multiple spines and configured such that one or both of the frames can rotate from an aligned configuration to an unaligned configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240197231
Abstract: A catheter for electrophysiology applications includes a shaft and an end effector. The shaft extends along a longitudinal axis to a distal end. The end effector is coupled to the distal end of the shaft. The end effector includes at least one loop member including a pair of spines. The end effector further includes a plurality of first electrodes affixed to at least one spine of the at least one loop member. The end effector further includes at least one flex circuit secured to the at least one spine of the at least one loop member. The at least one flex circuit includes a plurality of second electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20230346462
Abstract: An example expandable basket assembly for a medical probe may include a plurality of spines extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal central proximal spine portion to a distal spine portion. The distal spine portion may define a cloverleaf structure disposed radially around the longitudinal axis. The cloverleaf structure may define a central cutout with a central area disposed about the longitudinal axis. The cloverleaf structure may include a sinusoidal-like member extending from one spine to an adjacent spine in a direction around the longitudinal axis. The sinusoidal-like member may include a plurality of distal facing portions, a plurality of proximal facing portions, and at least one side connector connecting two adjacent distal facing portions to one another. The at least one side connector may strengthen a distal end of the expandable basket.
