Publication number: 20240366920Abstract: A topical applicator of the propel/repel type includes a reservoir, an attachable applicator cap, and a metered dosing system. A housing has a dispense end and rotatable knob at an opposite end. The knob connecting to a screw and nut mechanism for elevating an elevator upward toward the dispense end. A component of the screw and nut mechanism exposed and extending out of at the bottom of the applicator for overriding the screw nut engagement allowing quick elevation of an elevator without rotation of the knob. The screw and nut mechanism having a platform for engaging the elevator when the screw and nut mechanism is in a fully retracted position providing stability for the elevator and visual indication of proper positioning and assembly of the applicator.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2024Publication date: November 7, 2024Inventors: Kevin S. Patent number: 12075901Abstract: A dispenser, such as for lip balm, has a casing, a manually operable dispense mechanism with an actuation dial, lip balm in the casing, and a cap for covering a dispense end. The dispense mechanism included a snap-in actuator that interfaces with cantilevered fingers unitary with the casing. Finger tips interface the actuator at a retention flange for rotatably retaining the actuator within the casing, the finger tips further interface with circumferentially spaced ribs or nubs rearward of the flange for providing a user perceivable tactile clicking and/or a variable rotation resistance upon rotation of the dial. The casing having an enlarged dispense end, a narrowed lower waist region, an exterior surface include an overmolded softened high friction gripping surface on the casing. The exterior surface may include light transmissive portions defining indicia that extend into the casing interior.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2022Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: Go Products Co.Inventors: Kevin S. Fuller, Wayde J. Altendorf

Publication number: 20230032917Abstract: A topical applicator of the propel/repel type includes a reservoir, an attachable applicator cap, and a metered dosing system. The reservoir is suitable for mixing a topical formulation of multiple constituents using an electronic mortar and pestle and is closed using the applicator cap. Alternatively, the reservoir may be prefilled with a ready-to-use cream and medicament formulation, then sealed with a removable seal. The topical applicator can also include a one-way ratcheting feature to prevent reverse movement (repel) of the metered dosing system. Metered doses can be dispensed through holes in the applicator cap by rotating a knob, which has detent positions that correspond to discrete doses, and which provides audible and tactile feedback.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 15, 2022Publication date: February 2, 2023Inventors: James G. Skakoon, Kevin S. Fuller, Chris Reber

Publication number: 20220023858Abstract: In an embodiment, the claimed invention includes an oral-fluid collection and testing device that. is simple to operate. The device includes a body assembly and a cap assembly that are easy to handle by a user. A collection sponge projects from an end of the body assembly for absorbing the oral fluid of a donor, A cap assembly is easily aligned with the body assembly by way of visual alignment indicators on both the body and the cap. Once the cap is aligned with the body, a user simply pushes the cap onto the ‘body, which causes a first stage fluid, flow. More specifically, a buffer fluid is released from the cap and mixes with the oral fluid collected on the sponge—After waiting a short time* the cap is rotated, then pushed again, causing a second-stage fluid flow in which the sponge is compressed such that the buffer fluid/oral fluid exits the sponge and flows toward a. pair of test strips.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2021Publication date: January 27, 2022Inventors: Kevin S. Fuller, Wayde J. Altendorf, Todd Bailey

Patent number: 10865564Abstract: An interlocking elongate stackable spacer member for spacing structural framing members. The spacer is elongate having a lengthwise main portion and an offset portion, the offset portion defining a recess on a first side of the elongate body and a corresponding protrusion on a second side of the elongate body. The length of the protrusion corresponding to a desired spacing between adjacent trusses. The spacer can include a first end portion with a first connector and a second end portion having a cooperative second connector. The spacer is configured to interlock with another like spacer by inserting a first projection end portion of the first connector, into an aperture of the second connector, of the other of the spacer and the another spacer, such that the first projection end portion and the aperture of the second connector resist separation of the spacer and the another spacer along the lengthwise axis.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2019Date of Patent: December 15, 2020Assignee: Federal Molding Corp.Inventor: Kevin S. Patent number: 9435119Abstract: This disclosure relates to building trades where precise spacing between structural members ensures support via use of a plurality of elongate spacers. The spacers include at least one intermediate transit tacking member and a pair of nail- or screw-receiving apertures on opposing ends of thereof. One of the opposing ends serves as a pivoting end and the opposite end includes one or more relatively shorter member near the aperture formed therein. These member(s) can be driven into an adjacent trust or other support member while a final precise position is determined. To determine the final precise position to affix a given spacer one or more indicia is provided. Such indicia can include end edges, one or more cut-out features and/or one or more cut-out features and/or numbered or lettered (or other symbols) indicating the relative spacing from one end of the elongate spacer to the other.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2015Date of Patent: September 6, 2016Inventor: Kevin S. Publication number: 20160151779Abstract: A screening device for testing bodily fluids for the presence of certain constituents. The device can include a planar front face through which all of the test strips are viewed. The device also includes an inclined surface that directs the fluid under test to test strips with more efficiency, and partitions the fluid that is directed to a given test strip to better assure that the test strip receives an adequate amount of bodily fluid for a valid analysis. In one embodiment, the device includes a three-dimensional gasket that creates a pressurized environment upon insertion of the sampling stem for improved diffusion of the bodily fluid into the test strips.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2015Publication date: June 2, 2016Inventors: Kevin S.
